GRB vacation

Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. The weather was more cloudy than not...but the beach was still lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Goose Rocks beach. The views from the house were most beautiful, and we enjoyed eating dinner outside on the deck.

Just perfect

What a lovely and comfortable house in an unbeatable location! We just finished up our stay and were so sad to leave. The house is fantastic—so architecturally interesting, bright and airy and clean, with fun nooks and crannies and hideaways for kids. There’s a view of the ocean from the back deck, and a nice private pathway to Goose Rocks Beach (my favorite beach of all time). Plenty of beach chairs and beach supplies, the kitchen has everything you need, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. Thank you for the wonderful stay—we can’t wait to return!

We are New Englanders, our parents arrived at Goose Rocks in the 50's, built a cottage, & then their 2nd GRB home in the early 80's. We have happily and gratefully been coming here now for 4 generations, from Massachusetts and Calif. every summer. This is the place for friends and families to reconnect, relax together... and apart - our true sentimental home. Also... to eat as many lobsters and as much of E's blueberry pies as possible!

Why they chose this property

Our 'cottage' has been designed by an award-winning NE architect and thoughtfully defined for beach, tidal river views, and all-day sun. A light-filled, energized home. Scrupulously clean & fresh, with an all-new kitchen. Casual, cheerful, and comfortable. A few steps to the beach on a private path. A place to unwind, to watch the kids toddling on their bikes to tennis lessons, or to just sit back and take in the sensational views.

What makes this property unique

Ocean views, back dune location, facing ocean & fronting Little River tidal river, a short walk on private path to the 3 mile long, finest white sandy beach in NE. The magical Timber Island in view anchoring one end to navigate onto at low tide. A perfect place for swimming - young & old - kayaking, etc... - easy, safe surf for all water activities.
The uniquely charming General Store (all the basics, a gift shop, & blueberry muffins) is a quick bike ride along the beach. Located near the beehive of summer activity - the GRB Community House - see how it came to land on this site via a ride on the Atlantic. It Is a central meeting place for all things summer - kids tennis, swimming lessons, & lots of activities for the whole family. There are plenty of gorgeous spots to spread out to from this lovely Sand Point home.
