Gîte 100m de la Plage

Existing cottage since 2014, renovated and extended in 2025. Ideal geographical location to visit the historical sites of the D-Day landings.

Ideally located in the centre of the village, the villa is close to all services: doctor, pharmacist, post office, supermarket, bakeries, tobacco press, bars, brasseries, restaurants: less than 200 m and especially 100 m from the beach. Grandcamp-Maisy market: Tuesday and Sunday mornings in July and August and Tuesday mornings the rest of the year.
Seaside resort, fishing port and its fish market every day (200 m), restaurants on site. Sea, fishing on foot at low tide, sea walks, sailing school, coastal paths (GR261), tennis (500 m) sea kayaking (July/August). Sites D-Day landing beaches nearby. Horse riding 2 km. Forest 30 km. Medieval city of Bayeux 30 km.
Lison SNCF train station 20 km, Caen airport 60 km.

Only 100 m from the beach, this 250m² villa in the heart of the city, with garden and private parking, will be your privileged holiday destination for your seaside stays with family or friends. The villa has a private parking space, and can accommodate 4 vehicles. Its enclosed garden is facing south, in a quiet area
The villa has been rented since 2014, highly appreciated by its location, its garden and its comfort, it has now been extended since 2025, doubling its living area! It can now accommodate 20 people, with even more space and comfort.

Built at the end of the nineteenth century, this villa named "Villa Diamant" in honour of its first owner, has long housed the city's post office. Since 2025, the Villa has finally regained its freedom. Since 2025, major work has made it possible to transform it back into a villa, as a whole. We are therefore proud to be able to welcome you to this 250m² villa, in the city centre but also 100m from the sea.

The property was perfect for our family reunion. Plenty of bedrooms and a large kitchen/dining area to enjoy. The added bonus of a back yard and also just a small walk away from the beach.Our host Annabelle was very responsive and generous with welcome gifts and local information.Would definitely recommend and when we come back we would definitely stay here again

Great stay

This property was great. There was plenty of room for our family and it had everything we needed. The location was perfect. It was close to the beautiful beach and restaurants and was ideal for visiting the D-day beaches.

Fantastic time in Grandcamp Maisy!

The house is a fantastic location a block from the Port. Beautiful large private backyard. Very roomy interior with large kitchen and family room. It has a protected parking in a private fenced area and a garage. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to book this place again next time I’m in Normandy!

Nous avons séjourné dans ce gîte à 18 personnes, entre amis, à l’occasion d’un anniversaire. La configuration des chambres correspondait parfaitement à nos attentes (chambre double pour les couples et de 4 pour les enfants) et les salles de bain, réparties à chaque étage, étaient en nombre suffisant pour accueillir tout le groupe.Nous avons également pu profiter du beau temps grâce au jardin aménagé, avec tables et chaises à disposition, idéal pour partager de bons moments.Le véritable plus de ce gîte reste son emplacement, avec un accès à la mer à 100 mètres !Nous recommandons vivement ce gîte et y reviendrons avec grand plaisir.

Rapport qualité/prix decevant

Procédure d’arrivée autonome sans précisions très difficile. 3 salles de bain mais seulement une fonctionnelle (pression et eau chaude). Lave vaisselle bouché, vaisselle sale et insuffisante pour 12 personnes (pas de cocotte minute, peu de grands plats, pas de bols et mugs pour 12). 2 chambres ne comportent pas d’ouverture sur l’extérieur (pas de possibilité d’aérer). Un seul étendoir pour 12 un peu juste pour lessives et plage.Nous n’avons pas été prévenus du marché et de la brocante ce qui nous a empêchés de sortir 2 jours. Maison idéalement placée mais prestations pas à la hauteur.

Maison spacieuse, fonctionnelle et très bien située

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour en famillle avec 3 adultes, 7 ados et 1 enfant. La maison était propre et spacieuse. Les lits confortabls, Nous avions tout ce dont nous avions besoin dans la cuisine.. 2 grandes salles de bains, ce qui était agréable avec autant d'ados! Maison très bien située, nous avons pu faire le tour des différents sites du débarquement sans devoir rouler de trop. Merci à Annabelle et son mari pour leur accueil et pour les croissants, le pain, la confiture et le cidre :-) Nous pouvions les joindre à tout moment par Whatsapp..

Globalement satisfait, mais je regrette le manque de propreté à l'extérieur (mégots de cigarettes restés dans un verre sur l'escalier donnant accès à l'appartement, et la qualité des couchages. l'équipement en matériel est correct.et complet. DD

Il est juste regrettable que la caution soit encaissée avant la réserve et qu qu'elle soit restituée plus de 15 jours après le départ

Je suis bien d'accord avec vous ! Mais c'est malheureusement indépendant de notre volonté, la caution est encaissée par Abritel, seul le prix du séjour nous est versé. Nous ne sommes pas en accord avec cette pratique, mais impossible de faire autrement via Abritel

Gîte parfait

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. John nous attendait et nous a bien acueilli avec plein de renseignements. Le gîte est super avec un salon confortable pour nous 8 et la cuisine est aussi un bel espace de vie. Le jardin est grand et parfait aussi pour un grand groupe. Les lits étaient tous très confortable. Tout était très bien. La localisation est parfaite dans le centre près de la mer. Je le recommande vivement. Merci John

grand camp, grand gite

fantastic gite in a perfect setting ideally placed for exploring all the d-day beaches and fortifications. the gite had very extremely comfortable beds and the kitchen was equipped with every gadget we required for preparing meals including a barbeque in the large garden, within 5 minutes we had cafes ,bars and several shops and a Carrafour 10 minutes walk away, the beach was a 2 minute walk away, could not find fault with anything we really enjoyed ourselves and if we go back to Normandy we will certainly try to book this accomodation again .
