Rustic Fall Cabin w/ Hot Tub & Pool Table – Lazy Bear Lodge

Large Lodge settled on 3 acres w/ a beautiful Trout Stream Running through the woods. This Lodge is perfect for a relaxing mountain vacation. Large enough for the whole family to spread out & have fun. Snuggle up by the fireplace, enjoy a game of pool, head outside, relax in the hot tub, or go fishing! This place has got something for everyone. It’s right off Rt. 40. Minutes from Nemacolin, Ohiopyle, Fort Necessity & plenty of restaurants nearby. 3beds 2 baths (2 queen 1 full) 1 sleeper sofa.
The space
Guests have access to the entire house. There are cleaning and utility closets that are locked off. There is an old cabin/shed on the property. Please stay out.

Guests are able to access the house, stream and hot tub.
Other things to note
Firewood is on the property is free to use. We do not promise it and if you really would like to have dry firewood please bring your own. There will be no refunds if there is no firewood available for you or if the wood that is there is wet.

If you know how to properly use the fire place in side you may start a fire. Please open the damper when you start a fire. Keep the screen closed to prevent any sparks from causing a fire or damaging the flooring.

We have 1 safety camera that face toward the road and the driveway. This is to ensure guests safety only. We will not be monitoring guests.

We recommend that you have winter tires during the winter months. We try our best to plow and shovel before a guest arrives but it is not guaranteed.

The cabin was very beautiful and well appointed. It had everything we needed. The kitchen was very well stocked. The host was able to add an extra night for us last minute. Which was appreciated. It was easy to get into the cabin. No problems at all.

Long Weekend Getaway

My family went for a long weekend at the end of March and had a wonderful stay! Appreciated all the games for my kids and the pool table was a hit. House was very clean and we enjoyed the hot tub. Appreciated the baby gate at the top of the stairs! Great spot for checking out Fort Necessity, which is right down the road. Loved the open backyard and view.

This was my first VRBO rental. Other than food and clothing, the owner had everything we needed for our stay. Right down to basic spices in the kitchen and air freshener in the bathrooms! The cabin was beautiful and we really enjoyed staying there. Thank you.

I loved this cabin. We loved the home decorations and the pool table. This is in a great location to all activities in the area. The biggest hit was going to the natural waterslides with the kids. We will bring a small pool tube next time. You go down them so much easier with a float and it saves your butt. We also rented bikes and went on the allegheny passage. The food at Fox's pizza den and the Twisted Spoke cafe were great. A lot of restaurants were closed on Tues and Wednesday so that was a bummer since we left on a Thursday! Such a fun and beautiful place to visit. We will definitely be back.

Amazing Peaceful Getaway

We had an amazing time at this peaceful retreat. Great location to get to Ft. Necessity, Ohiopyle State Park, and Falling Waters. Everything we needed in this cozy lodge and really enjoyed the fall colors around the beautiful property.

Great Location and Beautiful Property

Location was perfect for all there is to do in the area. House was comfortable and had everything needed. Property was very peaceful - creek running through the back, nightly visits from the deer, and the birds constantly singing. It was a nice, quiet getaway.

Charming Cabin

My 50th birthday getaway at the Lazy Bear

Lazy Bear Lodge was exactly what my Mister and I needed. It is such a beautiful, spacious place, inside and out. The hot tub and pool table, the stream and fire pit in the backyard, the spacious rooms, location...everything was perfect! The hosts are great communicators and promptly answer any questions you may have. I would definitely recommend this place!

House was very beautiful. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and supplies. Simple check in and out. Nice hot tub to relax in after busy day with adventures at Ohiopyle.

We really enjoyed our stay. The place was beautiful, the owners were responsive when contacted. We even saw 4 deer in our backyard throughout the week. We would definitely rebook. Thanks again for a great time.

Great Location for Ohiopyle

This location was excellent for the Ohiopyle area. We toured the Frank Loyd Wright homes in the area and had lunch at Fall City Pub (great food and beers). The house was clean and spacious for our needs. Kitchen was well stocked. The downstairs (pool table area) was a little cold, but we did not use it much. The hot tub was nice and clean. The inside of the house looks better than the outside. I would definitely stay again if back in the area.

Great property with peaceful views and good location

We really enjoyed our couples getaway at LazyBear lodge. The house had a log cabin vibe and build with a private back yard and creek. The neighbors were far enough away for it to feel relatively private and the large windows made us feel closer to nature. The house was well appointed for more guests and the pool table/games were a nice addition. We felt the couches and some other areas could use some updating and it lacked a few niceties for the rental price that would have put it at 5*. In addition the required property insurance (or hold) and some of the stated policies of additional charges if this or that happened were a bit off-putting. The cable was pretty basic, but there were smart tvs in every room for which we used our own app accounts. There were heaters in every room, the hot tub was in good condition and everything was clean. The cabinets were well stocked for cooking as well. The location was great with access to local coffee and food. Overall it was a good experience and I would recommend it!

Mountain gem

This cabin is even better than its description. Nicely decorated, it's located on a fanastic property. We loved sitting in the family room with our morning coffee, looking out the expansive wall of windows and seeing the fall colors. We built a fire, went into the hot tub and played pool. The place is close to Falling Water and wonderous biking trails.

Quaint and cozy cabin with plenty of amenities to guarantee relaxing fun!

We spent Thanksgiving here with our adult children and it was perfect! It is located close to Ohiopyle and some great hiking trails. Restaurants in the area are limited but excellent. The beds were comfortable, the showers had great water pressure, and the house was very clean! Nikki and Matt go above and beyond to assure that the house offers everything you will need to have a comfortable and fun stay. They are very kind and fair people to deal with and we look forward to staying in their wonderful home again!
