8/10 Good

Great location but not on hot summer nights
Plus: Communication with the owners and property management were excellent! The location of the apartment is indeed in the center of Bordeaux by the longest street, Sainte Catherine. The apartment is spacious, neat with minimalist inspired decor. The kitchen has the basic essentials so you have to bring your own olive oil, vinegar, and other condiments if you want to prepare a salad.
Critique: Free parking at the Bourse with the cardkey is a bit of a walk with 2 large suitcases. We had to park in the nearest parking garage and pay before we put our luggage in the boot. Just be aware that the apartment is in a commercial district and hence, a bit noisy especially when the windows are open during the hot summer. I got bitten by mosquitoes! The top rack of the dishwasher was broken and some plates and utensils still have some food residue. We have to re-wash what we were going to use. Also, the toilet’s water keeps running after you flush which is such a waste with the climate change. We have reported it to the owners and hopefully it is already fixed. We left the apartment cleaner than when we arrived except for the floor which we did not bother to vacuum.
