We loved the bungalow and staying on the quiet side in general! Such a great area with good hikes, food, and shopping all nearby. The Bungalow had everything we needed!
Our stay was so great! The property is even cuter than pictured, perfect for a two person getaway. We were able to access everything we needed in the park and have a quieter retreat from bustling bar harbor. We would absolutely stay here again!
The bungalow was a lovely home away from home with just enough of everything to make our stay on MDI very comfortable. Communication with host was stellar and made check in and out a breeze. Highly recommended!
I met some friends in Southwest Harbor for a photography trip and my stay was at The Bungalow. Everything about the place was just as advertised. It was a great space for one or two people. I really loved the location, just a few blocks from shops and restaurants but far enough away that pulling out into traffic wasn’t a problem. I had a tiny glitch when I first got there (all on me) and when I reached out I had an answer within minutes. Would definitely recommend and will stay again if I ever get back to Acadia!
Location was perfect for access to Acadia National Park. Super quiet in Southwest Harbor. Would love to stay there again. Great restaurants and bars nearby. Highly recommend!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Bungalow! It was perfect for our Acadia getaway. An easy 20 minute drive to Bar Harbor and even a few cute coffee shops right down the street from the property. Ingrid was also very responsive and easy to contact with questions!
We had a wonderful stay at this property. The location was perfect for enjoying all of the Acadia area, while being within a short walk to downtown Southwest Harbor. The Bungalow was updated, clean, and comfortable. It was also convenient to have a washer and dryer within the unit.
Great spot on the quiet side of Acadia. It was close to the park and far enough from the crowds of Bar Harbor. Convenient location and clean bungalow. Would love to return!
Clean. Organized. Well-stocked kitchen supplies for basic meals. Convenient location. Spacious for 2 people. Great communication from host. Very happy with our stay!
We enjoyed our stay at this adorable cottage. It had everything we needed and is in a great location, especially close to the Bass Harbor lighthouse.
The biggest challenge we faced was the size of the shower and bedroom... they're pretty tight for a 6'5" man. But everything was clean and accurately described. We appreciated this lovely place!

Perfect cozy place to stay while visiting Acadia. We were able to eat breakfast, pack a lunch and spend the day in the park hiking and biking.....and then return for dinner and a good night's sleep. Quiet, great location, clean, all the things you'd need in a kitchen without being cluttered. Laundry was a bonus. Clear instructions from the host, and very responsive to any questions. Highly recommend staying in Southwest Harbor - so much more quiet and relaxing, while still close to everything.
The Bungalow was great! Only issue was with the TV ( operator error) Ingrid took care of it while we were exploring Acadia the next day. We enjoyed seeing the deer outside the door one morning.
This was a great location for a base as we explored the area. Clean and no issues at all. The only possible improvement would be an air conditioner in the bed room for the warm days.
My husband and I recently stayed here. It was perfect. We were very close to a few different parts of Acadia and 20 min out of Bar Harbor. It was nice and quiet at night but near everything we wanted to do during the day. The space was clean and pleasant. Having the option to do laundry after hiking a few days was a bonus. We would stay here again.
We loved our stay at the Bungalow! It was a great location in SW Harbor (right next door to kayak rentals and down the street from bike rentals). Check and check out was a breeze. If you are going into Acadia, this is a great spot. The bungalow is well appointed with everything you need. The only thing to be aware of is we found the wi-fi to be pretty slow, but it likely will not be an issue for most visitors.
Immaculate, comfortable stay for two near hiking, freshwater swimming and ocean walks
Everything was as described. Tasteful, comfortable, furnishings and kitchen/dining setup. A curated set of everything you need rather than a hodgepodge of items left by previous guests. On a main road, so close to swimming, hiking, SW Harbor center and other Quietside places, while not far from the other, busier side of MDI. Very organized and responsive host, with clear instructions about everything, including WiFi . Perhaps the cleanest vacation rental I've encountered. Not secluded, but just lovely.

Quiet side of the island near coffee shops, ice cream shop, and Bass Harbor Lighthouse. Clean with comfortable chairs for lounging and reading. Kitchen equipped for our needs of assembling sandwiches and storing cold drinks. Loved having access to washer and dryer. The only improvement would be a preference…firmer mattress with breathable cotton sheets.
