Little Mountain Retreat is a custom log home completed in 2008 and located 'just a few miles from everything'.

Enjoy the solitude and relax by the fireplace in this 3 bedroom/2 bath log home. Grill steaks on the backporch or gather by the fire pit in the back yard and roast hotdogs and marshmellows. Pocahontas County is 'nature's mountain playground' and outdoor activities abound. Nearby the Greenbrier River offers canoeing, kayaking, swimming, and fishing while the Greenbrier River Trail is designated for biking, hiking, horseback riding and XC skiing. Watoga State Park also borders the Greenbrier river.

The surrounding National Forest and state lands offer excellent hunting, fishing and camping.

This cabin offers a restorative getaway with its location and amenities. We were able to get in and out easily, and were close to all we planned during our trip. Even a day of bad weather allowed us to take a wonderful "down day" at the cabin. This location is well stocked and provides more than most. Thank you for making this lovely cabin available for rental!

We stayed at this rental for 10 days to visit with family and see Pocahontas County and it did not disappoint. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed. There was plenty of room for parking and nice neighbors that helped us with water when the power was out due to a large branch from a thunderstorm. The cabin is close to Hillsboro and the Cranberry Glades Visitor Center. We recommend the Levels gas station for basic healthier grocery options and a small selection of WV items.

Amazing cabin close to so many options for outdoorsy adventures!!! The cabin was super clean, well stocked and had many rainy day entertainment choices including puzzles, games, DVDs and books!! The host was VERY responsive to our questions and provided excellent directions!!! The kitchen was well stocked and the upstairs bed was very comfortable! The tub was a perfect unwind from long hikes and bike rides. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and loved the cabin and all its charm and comforts!!!

The cabin was great, located in a nice quiet spot, and close to Hillsboro and Marlinton. It had everything we needed, including firewood. The layout and the decorating made it a very comfortable stay. It is also close to Watoga State Park where we went on a beautiful hike. Would definitely stay here again!

This home was fantastic! I love all the decor and attention to detail. Bed was very comfortable House was very clean. Shower was great. Great location, close to parks. Our dog loved the big yard. Nice back porch to enjoy a glass of wine. Kitchen was well equipped. Nice living room to relax after sight seeing. Adorable home...I hope to come back!

Having family in the area, we’ve staying at a number of lodgings over the years. This cabin was one of the best. Well constructed. Well decorated with quality furniture, finishes, and supplies. Very clean throughout. Dollar General 5 minutes away for needs. Will definitely stay again!
