Nancy from Down Home was great to work with. Communication for check in and during stay very user friendly. The location was perfect for us. We were with our adult children and the layout worked well for us. The neighbors were welcoming and helpful as well. I would stay here again!

Perfect Location in Tall Trees

We have always stayed between Sumter and Brownwood but this house is in the best location! It's close to the adult pool, restaurants, shopping (watched Costco being built) and a gas station. It was very clean and spacious with comfortable furniture and the wifi worked great! Having the golf cart as part of the rental was something we were looking for, however, it was missing the golf bag rack attachment (we bought bungies). We enjoyed the quick golf cart rides on all of the trails, but especially to Sumter Landing for the nightly outdoor live entertainment. A minor thing, but compared to the last 3 rentals we have had, this house was stocked the least with supplies (TP, PT, dish soap, cleaners, etc). We would totally stay here again and would recommend it to all!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our first problem with the house was getting into it. The lock didn’t work well and it took at least three tries to get it to open. We finally gave up on the front door and went in and out through the garage. The carpeting was filthy and the small rugs in the bathrooms need to be washed or replaced. The bedspreads need a cleaning. The sofa in the living room was wonderful, but in general, the house seemed very dated but we loved the location and having the use of the electric four seater golf cart.

Reviewer Comments: Our rental was exactly as stated online.Location was great w friendly neighbors.It was clean and well equipped w kitchen and bath supplies.Golf cart was great and had roll down sides for chilly rides.My suggestion which would make it even better for us snowbirds would be:- patio table/umbrella so we could eat outdoors, play games- lighting in the sunroom so it could be used in evenings, and a small table w 4 chairs in there to eat at. This I’m giving 4 star rating - docking due to inability to utilize sunroom and patio as we would’ve liked.

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place was clean and easy to use for us and met our expectations. The only suggestion I would offer is to provide some BBQ cleaning tools to make it easier to keep clean for the next guest. There was also a plug adapter behind the master bed that put out light. We got approval to unplug it but had to move the bed to do so. We plugged it back in when we left but was not very easy to do so. Finally, didn't like having to put down a $1500 deposit that took almost 3 weeks to be refunded.

Golf cart that was provided needs to have brake lights and turn signals. i feel this is a safety issue. The light bulb in master closet didn't work. Hard to see in the closet. The third twin bed bedroom could use a mirror. This rental was in a good location. Close to shopping, the town squares, championship golf courses. The rental agency was very professional and easy to work with. Overall a good experience. I would consider renting this property in the future.

Tall Trees review

It was a very great neighborhood. The house was very nice. We had a couple of things go wrong. The dishwasher never worked. Toilet was acting up. But they sent someone right out to fix these problems. Toilet was fixed dishwasher just wouldn't work.

What happened to the golf cart, electricity, and water?

This home had the potential to be enjoyable. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were very comfortable, and the location was ideal. That's where it all ends. The key to the golf cart was missing and the owners made no effort to give it to us. The water was turned off and if that's not enough the air conditioner quit working. June in Central Florida! Down Home Property Management was great, without them, I would have been more stressed than I already was. If you are looking for a stress free vacation , I would not rent this house. Stay home!
