Winthrop is centrally located in Maine, minutes to Hallowell and Augusta. Within an hour or less to Freeport, Boothbay, Camden, Portland and Rockland. Just over an hour to Bethel (Sunday River), Sugarloaf and Rangeley.
The space
This home was built in 1900, has some of the original wood floors and doors. (new windows). There is a pretty sunroom off the King Bedroom to have your morning coffee or a cocktail at night. Dogs are welcome but must be leashed in the yard.
There is parking for 2 cars in the driveway. Any additional cars can be parked on the grass on the side of the house.
We have a king bedroom with attached sunroom.
A queen bedroom which is a joined to the king via a French door. The second floor has four twin beds, great for kids. All bedrooms have ceiling fans, upstairs has a window air conditioner as well as many fans available. There is an air conditioner in the living room as well.
We find 6 guests are very comfortable, with one bathroom but there are beds for up to 8 guests.

About the host
Hosted by Kim Toppa
My family and I love to travel and have rented homes all over the country to visit new areas and to visit friends and family. During the Covid-19 pandemic we had to cancel several trips, so I decided to buy a vacation home that we could use and also share with other travel lovers.
I have tried to fill the house with all my favorite amenities from when we rent a home. We have all new furniture and bedding and hope you will find everything you need when you visit our Maine Get Away.
Thanks for looking and please feel free to ask me any questions!

What makes this property unique
Super quiet and peaceful, located on a dead end street with a historic cemetery so noise is never an issue. There is a grill and the backyard fire pit is a great place to relax at night and stargaze while making s'mores.
