Sketchy owner canceled after check-in

This was a new listing, and when I called the owner cell phone number on the listing they denied having a VRBO And said I had the wrong number. Then minutes later, hours after checking, they cancel the booking. This was for a two week rental. And it basically left me homeless and scrambling on Memorial Day. Sketchy, scary and I hope they get removed from the platform.

Unfortunately, there was a major miscommunication. This guest emailed me ans I never responded because I did not receive the message. The instabook function did not notified me that I had a guest or even an inquiry into the property. I received an aggressive and irate phone call from someone saying they were my VRBO guest when I had no idea I had a booking. The guest should smarten up if she has a two week rental common sense would suggest some communication with the VRBO owner before the night of check in would be standard procedure. I wish Paige al the luck but her booking was fishy and her behaviour and communication with me rude and atrocious.
