Beautiful house on the Paradise Eckerman boarder.

Beautiful cabin on the Paradise Eckerman boarder close to tahquamenon falls. Plenty of parking for snowmobile trailers or side by sides (.5) miles from trails and you can ride from the cabin to the trials, no need to trailer anywhere. There is a 2 night minimum stay. Will sleep 8-9 comfortable. Bedroom #1 has a queen bed, bedroom #2 has a bunk beds that are twins. There is an upstairs loft with 2 more queen beds and a small futon. The Washer and dryer are currently not working. There are close to 100 DVD and VHS tapes available.

Pretty little house with a cottage like feel. Toys and movies stocked for the kids. Kids liked to slide on the floors, and loved the twin beds. Decent sized kitchen and stocked with utensils for cooking full meals. Dishware feels like going back to gramma's house for the summer. Lots of towels and blankets for forts or warmth. We were a party of 6, could have easily had 2 more adults and a baby.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. We did notice what appeared to be mouse droppings near the trashcan and in one of the utensils drawers when we arrived so I attempted to contact the host to let them know but they never responded. I wasn’t upset about the mouse activity itself because that is something that can happen anywhere, but I do wish the host would have acknowledged it. There were also scented plugins around the house that seemed to be covering up a smell. The house itself appeared clean so I am not sure what the smell was, but I wanted to note it to help future travelers. The space itself was great, plenty of room for our family of 5 to spread out and enjoy. There is no wifi there which was not an issue for us, but we also did not receive cell service at the house. Again not an issue but just something to be aware of. The location of the house worked out perfectly for us. We spent a day near Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum and Tahquamenon Falls, a day in Sault Ste Marie, and a day in Munising. It was easy to get to and also very quiet. The house would be perfect if the mouse and smell issues were addressed so I am hopeful those can be resolved for future travelers.

Beautiful Place

The house was adorable and had everything we needed. It was close enough to the activities that we wanted to do - Shipwreck Museum, Tahquamenon Falls and Soo Locks.

winter in the north.

We had a great time sight seeing the Upper Peninsula in the winter, Our first time in the winter. We really enjoyed the pellet stove. Thank you for letting us stay there. It also was conveniently located for our sight seeing goals.

Family Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay! Clean and cozy space, with everything needed to make meals etc. We enjoyed cooking over the campfire....a few chairs around the campfire ring would have been nice. It's within easy driving distance of lovely beaches and lakes for fishing, or day trips! Would definitely recommend!

Great place

Lots of sleeping areas, huge amount of DVDs and movies for the kids, very cozy place. Agree that there is no cell service, and also the nearest grocery store is at least 30 minutes away. Very close to Tahquamenon Falls.

Great base for UP exploring

House had everything it needed. We were pleasantly surprised by the toys for our toddler. Easy to find and good base location to see the falls, whitefish point and get to Soo Locks

We had a great time during our visit. Kris was very responsive via text when we reached out. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. It would have been nice to have an outside seating area to relax. I do highly recommend this home should you just want to get away and relax in the woods!
