About this property
State Street Retreat, Parking Pass Provided--Cool and Easy in the Downtown
A secret refuge, State Street Retreat is nestled in the heart of Downtown Savannah. Just one block off of bustling Broughton Street, enjoy easy access to the shopping, dining and museums that brought you to Savannah.
**We provide a parking pass for one car at a parking deck one block away to make your stay stress-free. (See more on parking below.)**
SVR-02312
Clean and comfortable, State Street Retreat is tucked just around the corner from the action, allowing you to pop in and out easily throughout the day. Cozy, peaceful and full of sunlight, your secret refuge will soon become your second home.
Bay windows and southern exposure make the living room a light-dappled haven. Sit with a book in a wingback chair or people-watch the history buffs at the Owens-Thomas house across the street while enjoying a cup of coffee or glass of wine. The pull-out couch is perfect if you bring the kids and a wall-mounted television makes keeping up with your shows easy from anywhere in the room.
The bedroom is set behind original sliding pocket doors for privacy. The queen-sized antique iron bed welcomes you after a day and night investigating Savannah. Unwind with the wall-mounted television opposite the bed.
The eat-in kitchen is snug and serene and well-equipped with the cookware and utensils that you may need during your stay. Of course, you'll be so close to so many restaurants you may never find your way into the kitchen at all!
To make everything as easy as possible for you, we include a parking pass for one car at a secure parking deck very close to the apartment. The pass gives you 24-hour access to the State Street Parking Garage but a spot is neither assigned nor guaranteed--all parking is based on availability. You will need the pass to both enter and to exit the deck.
State Street Retreat gives you great access to the heart of downtown. Because of its central location normal city noise may filter up from the street, possibly including the happy sounds of midnight revelers. For these reasons, a white noise machine is provided to help mitigate the sounds of a robust city. If you think you might be bothered by this during your stay, please ask me about my other properties located in predominantly residential areas of Savannah's Historic District. However, if you are looking for a relaxing place around the corner from the heart of the action, State Street Retreat will be a great home base for you during your visit to Savannah.
You will find the parking pass on the coffee table and please return it there when you leave. You will need the pass to get your car out of the garage, so remember to get your car and then load up your bags. Unfortunately, if we don't find the pass on the coffee table after you leave, we will have to charge you a $150 replacement fee. We don't want that. You don't want that. No one wants that!
