Couldn’t have asked for a better location. My only ask is better curtains in the guest room. The light coming from the outside hallway was bright

The property was in shoddy condition with a large part of the parking lot blocked off, scaffolding outside at entrance and one of the pools empty, ugly and closed. The elevators had blankets on the walls...it was just not a great luxurious experience. And there are too many codes. The parking process is confusing. We had 3 units rented and all of them were different in how they did things. Super confusing.

Fantastic Condo

This condo was the best we have ever stayed at over the last 10 years of booking on VRBO. The beds and living room furniture we comfortable. We like to cook and the kitchen was well equipped with great utensils and cookware, somewhat a rarity in our experience. The location is walking distance to restaurants and fun activities nearby. We loved the floor to ceiling windows to look at the ocean and the short walk right to the beach everyday. We could not recommend this property more.

Beautiful View

This is a great condo - great location, clean, comfy furniture and amazing view! My husband uses a manual wheelchair which limits our options for booking private properties. This worked for our needs! The bed heights were great, bedsides and bathrooms had enough room to get in. The view was the best and we even saw dolphins one morning from the balcony!

Front Gate Issues

We had a wonderful time, it was a beautiful place But ... the front entry into the gate was a hassle almost everytime. No assistance when needed help with the front gate. Often multiple cars waiting with the same issue.

The condo was very nice and well prepared for our stay. We were more than comfortable in the condo. The pool area was nice and the beach access was convenient. The road construction outside the building made it inconvenient to get even down the road for dinner. With young children, walking along a busy road was not an option. The one negative about the building was being down to 1 elevator. With so many people checking in and out at various times and others going to the beach with their beach carts, we often had to wait through several attempts to get on the elevator. Just to get off of our floor could take as much as 15-20 minutes, especially if you had a beach cart or luggage cart. This should have been made very clear in the listing. It was unfortunate because we liked the condo and the area, but i think we will try somewhere else next time.

Thank you, Jim! Glad to hear you enjoyed the condo and felt comfortable during your stay. The temporary road construction is part of ongoing improvements to the area, but we apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused. We also clearly note in our listings that the elevator is currently being replaced so that guests can have clear expectations before booking.

Nice property in a great location. A couple of issues need corrected.

Really liked the location and property. Very clean except an ant issue in the kitchen. When I called the property they said they always have the issue and spray monthly. They did come out and spray but that did not fix the issue. We had purchased food that was ruined before we knew of the issue then had to keep all remaining food out of the kitchen during our stay. :(. Also no welcome packet so we could not access their WI-FI nor know what the discharge instructions were when leaving the condo. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Thank you, Michelle! We're glad you enjoyed the property. There is monthly service for pest control and we actually spray ourselves after guests; we're sorry you experience those pesky things! We're working on it diligently. The condo does have a welcome book with information and wifi. We would have been happy to assist with a phone call too! We insist guests have all the information necessary for an exceptional stay.

Terrible management

This was our worst condo experience ever - Emerald Isle photos must have been taken when building was new. It’s now dark and crusty. Elevators are dark, small, and not ventilated. Pool lawn chairs are dirty and at least 20 years old. No umbrellas available at pool lawn chairs. They’ve got the place locked down like Fort Knox to the point it’s annoying just to come and go. Best of all, construction crews jackhammered for hours for 3 days! 3-4 hours each day for 3 days! Complained to BB management who did absolutely nothing - even sent them video of the atrocious noise. My 3 year old was terrified. On the 3rd day we’d had enough and left a day early. I will never stay at Emerald Isle or rent from BB “luxury” vacation rentals ever again.

Hi Sally- it is unfortunate we were unable to come to an agreement on the situation and that what we did do wasn't good enough for you. We did take action and found they were pulling up the flooring in 805. We didn't have any notice and send a complaint to the board once you made us aware. Summer is definitely not the time to renovate! I do understand this did not create an ideal experience for you and your family and for that, we are very sorry and did compensate. Emerald Isle is a lovely property. I hope others reading will take into consideration the many wonderful reviews about the property.
