Renovations continue to be done year after year!
The entire deck was rebuilt with trex boards and features cable railing along the upper deck to provide an amazing view of the lake. A new roof was put on which now expands over the entire upper deck. This means you can sit outside and eat or relax no matter what the weather is. Two sets of stairs have been added to connect the upper deck, lower deck, and fire pit. The lower level deck has been expanded and screened in. The house has new siding and windows. A new slider is in the master bedroom. An extra large slider has been added to the living room which replaces windows and provides easy access between the indoor and outdoor living spaces.

This is a cozy home located in the no wake zone of the Springs Dock cove. The inside is cozy but there is so much outdoor space with amazing views from almost every corner of the house! The space is designed to make you feel at home but be drawn to get out and enjoy the great outdoors! The fire pit features a Solo Stove.There is a personal dock with dining table, loungers, slide, and swim platform.

The layout is best suited for 2 families or 3 couples. There are 3 bedrooms plus a bunk space with 4 twin beds. The house sleeps up to 10 with a maximum of 8 adults.
Room for up to 3 cars in the driveway and trailer parking down the street.

The policies for occupancy, animals, and smoking are strictly enforced. Exceptions are not made for these items.

The Greens at Deerfield and the Deerside Market are all about .6 miles away.

Family Fun

We enjoyed our stay at this property. Everything was great! The screened in porch was great for playing games without worrying about mosquitos. The kids loved the swings and the slide. Perfect for family fun!

Perfect Rental House!

This house was perfect for our group of 9. Great location on the lake with an abundance of outdoor space made the stay even better. The house was very welcoming and the kitchen was stocked with everything you would need to cook. We’re already booked again for next year!

This property was above and beyond all of our expectations! We packed up the vam and met family from Nebraska and Tennessee and brought along enough groceries to not have to leave our whole stay. The house has everything we could have ever needed (just remember your own towels, they give you that reminder as well)!We couldn't imagine the decks were as beautiful as pictured, but they were even better. Nothing was held back with this home, we could have stayed another week! We don't have a boat, but we brought lots of flotation devices. Our favorite purchase for this trip was an inflatable kayak, we used it pretty much constantly! (available at Walmart for only 140)Don't hesitate with this one, it's everything you could want for a vacation home!

Little piece of paradise

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It is a little piece of paradise. Enjoyed the multi-level porches, especially sitting out there enjoying a cup of coffee and watching for wildlife. The lake is beautiful and crystal clear! The owners of this property have thought of everything. The only negative we would give is having to pack bath towels, but even that wasn’t bad because we were given plenty of notice to do so. Thank you again for sharing your little piece of paradise with us. We hope to come again!

Fantastic stay!!!

We absolutely loved everything about out Buschwood stay. Misty was very responsive to all texts, and provided everything we needed for a wonderful and comfortable stay. My adult daughter, on walking into the cabin, remarked that it immediately "felt like home". So many "extras" provided: paper towels, trashbags, ice, ice packs, can koozies, bug spray, sunglasses, coffee K cups, a very well stocked kitchen.....the list is endless. And the dock area was super fun to listen to the Indy 500 on! Thank you, Misty!!

Buschwood boat club

We stayed at buschwood boat club and our stay was amazing . The house has many new upgrades and a lot of amenities. The new covered deck was our favorite spot . There was also a screened in porch below both of which had multiple tables and seating options . Our kids enjoyed the swings and sitting area near the fire pit . There were outdoor games as well as board games which came in handy . House was nicely decorated and had a lot of nice touches. We had a total of 8 people , 2 families and it was the perfect size for us . Everyone was able to still have their own space to hang out . The only negative is that we had to bring our own bath towels (which we were aware of ahead of time ) but there were only 2 washcloths and 3 hand towels for the house which I would have brought my own if I had known. Owner was very responsive and easy to work with . I would definitely recommend staying at this property !

Not next time

The property & location were very good. The property owner contacted me while we were unloading our boat as we had back down into the driveway. We were to be there 5 days 4 adults, 6 kids, we had ton of groceries, clothes, water toys & etc. You can't unload on the road as no one would be able to pass you. We had no intentions on parking the boat there ONLY UNLOADING. They have drawers from a dresser in the bunk room with rollers glued to the bottom, very cheapie DIY, pushed under the bunks. The kids didn't use, they lived via their duffle bags however, 3 wheels needed to be reglued, which cost 15.00 labor & 4.22 glue cost, really. They also have a dart board that has no protection or cork board around it if you miss. Obviously the boys missed and this was 42.00 for paint & 60.00 labor cost. All in all it was an additional $12*.00 for damages. I totally understand but just putting it out there. We have rented at Norris Lake for the past 12 years and never had add't charges. P

Great outdoor setup but bugs beware

The house was perfect for families looking to spend a lot of time on the water or outside however spiderwebs and spiders were galore so we avoided the decks a bit (more of an us problem). A giant brown spider took up residence in one of my daughter’s beach towels that we hung in the closed in patio and I’m just relieved I saw it before she wrapped herself up in it! The host was very communicative but there are understandably a lot of rules and there are reminders of all the rules throughout the house which made us a bit uneasy. I get it completely so this isn’t a negative, we all just felt a bit of pressure to make sure we didn’t do anything wrong so just a little hard to relax completely. It’s really a 3 bedroom with a small closet converted into a bunk room so if you’re coming with a couple families, something to be aware of. Our kids LOVED the bunk room though! To have 4 kids in there would have been really tight because there aren’t ladders to get up on the top bunk. The room in the lower levels bed was VERY uncomfortable but that’s an easy fix and the upstairs rooms were great! Kitchen isn’t big but has everything you need! There is so much outdoor space in this house, if not for all the spiders we definitely would have spent more time out there (again, it’s to be expected, we just aren’t tough vacationers)! If the bed in the lower level is replaced we’d definitely come again!

We rented this house for 5 days, only stayed 4. Overall, we passed on a really nice house to stay here because we have tons of friends at Springs Dock. This house was OK, except for the owner texting me in real time about violating thr rental agreement. Apparently I looked over the non-smoking in or around the home part of the agreement. We were not even allowed to smoke on the deck, Misty said. She is texting us in real time, so she was watching us the whole time because she texted the next day that " She was not ok with the continued violations of the rental agreement" we were smoking, but she will not find one cigarette butt on the property, we are smokers, but courteous to others property, it is crazy to say we could not smoke on the deck. So as for the property, the deck and steps need to be replaced about 15 years ago...Do NOT walk out there bare foot...nail pops everywhere, splinters galore, except where the 20 year old moldy outdoor carpeting is. My wife would not even go on the deck with more than 4 people at a time. This is the first review I have ever written, all and all the house was functional, dock was sweet, but everyone was totally creeped out about being on camera the whole time....monitoring rentors activities is not legal, they should only be used to go back in case of any theft, not creeping on your guests...very strange!!

Great family get away

Perfect location for quite family get away on the water. The dock on water was awesome, and convenience of marina across the cove. The house had everything we needed. Great Lake view, screened in porch for naps, and grill with big deck and shade in evening for supper. Misty did a great job of communicating before hand but once we got there we did not need anything she already had it all there. Thanks for the use of the property and allowing us to make more family memories.

Family Vacation with kids.

Updates to the property were nice. We loved the outdoor space with multiple decks with screened in area and good space at the dock area to hang out. Kitchen was well stocked for guests and the second refridgerator on the lower level was a nice bonus.

Fantastic house on the lake.

We had a great experience staying at Buschwood on Norris Lake. The house is exactly as described with great renovations inside and a wonderful dock for swimming and storing a boat. Misty, the owner, is a terrific communicator who provided a lot of great information before our stay and always did everything in her power to make sure our stay was the best possible. We will definitely try to make it back soon.

Very nice updated and well stocked house in quite cove at Springs. Boat dock and swim platform was great! Owner was very informative and never had a problem with communication. Definitely would stay here again!

Good times!

We love coming to lake Norris. The view is always nice and relaxing. The Buschwood house was a great place to stay. Close to the Marina, fireworks was just a few feet away. Misty was very responsive on any of our needs and made sure we had everything we needed to make us feel at home.

Great getaway

From Deerfield boat slip to the house was super close both by boat and by truck, love that convenience. Remodeled basement was super cozy and covered dock was a treat. Owners are great to deal with and very responsive.

Our family has always loved the water. A house on the water is a dream come true for us. We all enjoy different sports and activities outside.

Why they chose this property

We are working hard to give the property a facelift and doing as many renovations as possible. The house is in a great location that's not too far from the highway or town. Plus there are 2 marinas super close by. There is a ton of outdoor space that provides amazing views of the lake.

What makes this property unique

The house has an unobscured view of the lake, a large dock in the no wake zone, and in a central location on the lake make this an amazing place to vacation. On top of that, it is so well stocked because it is our vacation home and we want everyone to feel right at home!
