Comfortable home, great location

We loved that this house is so well situated, spacious, and comfortably furnished. The location and views are spectacular. This was our first time visiting Rincon, so we really appreciated the notebook with helpful information about the area. The owner and property manager were very friendly and responsive. We'd stay again!

Perfect Place for Family Rincon Experience

My wife and I have been vacationing in Rincon for many years. It is one of our favorite Happy Places. This year we flew our 2 sons, wives and 3 grandkids under 4 years old down to experience Rincon for themselves. Mango Hill Retreat was the perfect home for us. Beautiful views of the Caribbean and the hills of Rincon. Sunsets galore! Location was ideal with beaches, grocery stores and great restaurants as near as a 5 minute drive. Great communication from William the host. Okie the property manager is phone call away and quick to help if there is a need. I highly recommend Mango Hill Retreat if you are vacationing in the Rincon area.

Horrible

Upon opening the front door we were astonished at the smell of strong cleaning fluid. There was mold scattered throughout, more so in the bathrooms. The furniture was dingy and dirty. The impression on the listing was that it was a 3 story high house, however, it was built into a hill and the "inlaw suite" was accessible by walking outside on a dangerously steep slope. There were geckos running around inside. The deck was located outside with a steep stairway from the kitchen. We reached out to VRBO to help us find another accommodation and we did not receive any help at all. We were on our own during the busiest week of the year, the week of the Feast of the Magi when just about everywhere is booked. We are not young and this was extremely stressful. I would not stay at this house if I was paid to stay there. Additionally, the VRBO lack of assistance was extremely disappointing and unhelpful.

We have never had an issue at our vacation home in the many years being listed. It’s been always rated 5 stars with amazing reviews. Just look back at all the reviews on all the online booking systems. All 5 stars. This person was looking for a free stay and when we refused they demanded a full refund. Even though it was our peak season we immediately issued a full refund and then contacted VRBO and had them refund the fees for their entire stay. We also immediately dispatched our manager and cleaning crew to the home to remedy any possible situation. This person had used all the rooms. They slept in all the beds, showered in all the bathrooms and then even kept our security gate remotes valued at over 150.00. Our team found nothing wrong with the home except the mess they left and remotes that were stolen. This was a scam from the moment they booked the reservation. Not only did we refund them in full we then had to pay to have the house recleaned at a cost of 125.00 and replaced the remotes at a cost of 150.00. So we lost 275.00 with this scam. The same day the house was relisted and rented by another family through another booking large booking site. They stood 4 days and left an amazing reviews as well as 5 star rating. Check the other large site and look for the dates. You will find a 5 star review. This family are a bunch of scammers looking for free stays wherever they stay. Look at the reviews left by owners. Do not rent to this family. It’s all a scam!

Incredible Stay in Rincon

Mango Hill Retreat was an amazing experience for my twin sister and I while we visited Rincon. William was an excellent host - communicative, thoughtful and generous. The property felt very, very safe. We had a rental car and our only goal was to explore Rincon’s culture and beaches for a few days, with a comfortable place to go home to at night. This was perfect. The house is more spacious than the pictures suggest, and the views are excellent. We particularly enjoyed the fact that there was an outdoor hose to wash off sand from the beach, there were 4 beach chairs, a rolling cooler (so helpful) and 2 boogie boards available for use. The space gets a lot of sunlight during the day, and is surrounded by lovely wildlife & trees. Mangos literally dropped from the trees onto the balcony, ready to eat or mix into a cocktail. Location wise, this house was perfect. Less than 10 minutes to several beaches and “center of town” in Rincon. It’s a great place to make your home while you explore what Rincon and west PR have to offer. We highly recommend it! Also, Wi-Fi worked without interruption and same with AC.

Amazing!

This property is in an idyllic setting, it is clean, it is spacious, the kitchen is well equipped, and the beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, and boogie boards help to make the beach experiences incredible. Location is within minutes of the town center, amazing beach fronts, restaurants and entertainment. Bill was available for questions at a moments notice and provides plenty of information for things to do around town. Five stars!
