This was the perfect house and location for our trip to Gatlinburg. This home is beautifully decorated and did not feel lived in as some rentals do. I would recommend anyone coming to the area to stay here as a family or couples.
Booked this VRBO for my son and I, to do some hiking in Smoky Mountain Natl Park. The house was very clean and comfortable, and the location was right outside the park. Very pleased with our stay.
We enjoyed this adorable property and will absolutely look to book again in the future! Gorgeous high ceilings and natural light! Beautifully decorated, the kitchen was everything we needed, comfy beds… wish we would’ve had more time away from work to extend our stay a bit!
The host was very responsive to our needs. The unit was exceptionally clean. Had everything we needed except a blow dryer. A bear visited the driveway the first morning we were there. We opened the window (didn’t have a screen) & got to get an up close look while being very safe. Highlight of our trip!! We saw several downtown after dinner as well. They seem to be very used to being around humans & enjoyed putting on a show of relaxing & eating walnuts that were on the ground.
We enjoyed our stay. The house is very clean with nice decorations and in a good location. I would suggest you to check the utensils and dishes thoroughly as some of them have chips and cracks.

We loved this place. The beds were amazing! The garage was a big help. It has wonderful linens and pillows and blankets, so cozy. While it’s close to downtown, I wouldn’t say it was walking distance to downtown for us, but it was no biggie. We’d stay again! Thankful for a beautiful comfortable place. We would have looked a regular height dining table rather than a bar height, but just a preference for us. Thanks so much for everything!!
My husband, our young baby and I stayed for a long weekend to visit the Smoky Mountains. The house was very nice, maybe the nicest rental I have ever stayed at! The location is great! A short drive to enter the park and Gatlinburg (maybe even walking distance if you are in good shape). I would definitely stay again!
My husband and I loved our stay. It was beautifully decorated, extra clean, and the bed was very comfortable. It was nice and close to town so we could walk to all the main attractions. We would 100% stay again! Thank you
The property is very nice and clean. Easy to get to and quiet. There are no blinds in the bedroom or main room so a little exposed.

About the host
Hosted by Tim & Kari Barker
My parents started taking me to Gatlinburg in 1972 (before my first birthday) and I have been visiting the area every since. I took my wife to Gatlinburg for her first visit in the fall/winter of 2010 and she fell in love with it. I know more about Gatlinburg than most (including people who live here) and many things have changed over the years but there is a certain feeling that one gets when wondering through the forest, looking out over the mountains, smelling the fresh mountain air, hearing a mountain stream babble over rocks or sharing a beverage next to a fireplace while watching the snow fall. These are some of the feelings and memories that we would like to share with you.
Why they chose this property
This property is very convenient and easy to get to. The area is quiet and tranquil and is a nice escape after a full day of "go here" and "go there" and "do this and that".
What makes this property unique
A clean new accommodating home to come back to and relax after a long day and knowledge of the area from someone who has spent time in Gatlinburg (and the surrounding area) since before he was able to walk or talk.
