If you're looking for an unplugged camping experience/family farm adventure, we'd love to share our cabin and farm property with you.
Although there is no running water in the cabin itself, the restroom with shower is a short walk (about 50 yards) inside the basement of our farmhouse, with its own private entrance. This restroom is private to your party during your stay.
The cabin sleeps up to six guests, who choose to "rough it" with many comforts, including a queen bed, a futon, and two low twin beds in the loft (accessible only by ladder, not for children under 8). All linens are provided.
Enjoy petting and feeding our goats and sheep. Interact with free-range chickens. Our hens provide eggs guests may cook for their breakfast; guests bring their own side items to make a complete meal. We also provide complimentary snacks and filtered water in a glass dispenser. There is a small refrigerator/freezer combination in the cabin (dorm sized).
From May to October, if no other events are scheduled during your stay, guests have use of the barn gym with "full court" basketball (two hoops, not full regulation sized), air hockey, foosball, playground balls and other fun activities like indoor swings. This facility is not climate controlled-- no air conditioning or heating system. The climbing wall is off limits to cabin guests.
We do not have a television in the cabin, and this is a purposeful decision. We have a selection of games, books, and puzzles, and there is much to do on the property itself, which features a small pond near the cabin with a paddle boat, kayak and canoe. In winter months, we have sleds available for the hill.
There is a fire pit right outside the cabin and firewood is provided. There is also a charcoal grill for cooking (bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid). Guests are also welcome to use any other fire rings on the property, including the common area in the backyard of the main house, which includes a gas grill, picnic tables, a hammock, swings, and a playground.
Free parking. Guests may drive along a grass/dirt path to park near the cabin (at your own risk) or park in the gravel area near the goat pasture and make the short walk to the cabin. The property is not handicap accessible and may be over uneven terrain. If needed, we can shuttle on our side-by-side ATV if special arrangements are made ahead of time.
The cabin is on the farm property where we live, but guests have their own private space but are also welcome to explore the farm property as desired. We aim to be responsive to your needs before, during, and after your stay so feel free to text us with concerns, needs, or celebrations!
We hope you enjoy your stay.

This was our 3rd stay at The Camp Cabin - there is something magical about that place! We come to Ohio to visit my family and always say we need to find a place closer … we never even try!! This has become a place of peace, and connecting with each other!! We always laugh at the fact that we would lose it at home with no TV - but it seems to never cross your mind at The Camp Cabin!!

Thank you so much, Laura, and we truly appreciate all of your kindnesses!
Me and my 2 young boys stayed the weekend . Just what we wanted. A peaceful picturesque quaint stay. Cabin full of charming ammenties. Pond full of fish. Barn full of activities for all ages. Gladly would stay here again.
We had the best overnight trip to this cabin! The property is beautiful and my two young sons had an amazing time on the playground, the trampoline, going fishing, checking out the goats and playing in the barn. Time went by too fast! The owners go above and beyond to make sure you feel at home and have everything you need.

Had a nice stay here with my two boys. We enjoyed a campfire & fishing and the cabin was well-stocked with everything we needed. Thanks to the owners; would stay again!
We stayed for a few nights and it was so peaceful. The heater kept us warm on the cold nights and the place was clean enough our 8 month old could crawl around on the floor with no worries or hazards! We loved it and the communication was great from the property owners! We absolutely recommend the property if you are looking for a relaxing rustic getaway!

The cabin was very clean and tidy. There were some amenities included, like a mini fridge, microwave, electric skillet. We stayed during a February snow storm and the gas fireplace was more than enough to keep us warm and cozy.
My 10 year old granddaughter and I LOVED the Camp Cabin experience from the moment we pulled into the driveway... adorable animals to feed, a quaint, relaxing cabin w modern comforts, a very comfy bed and futon, fresh eggs, a barn full of fun activities, the inground trampoline, an old fashioned teeter totter, hidden treasures to rehide, boating around the fountain to cool off on a 97 day, etc., etc., etc. You added so many extra nice touches... everything we needed and then some! We were so busy running around exploring everything, that we actually forgot about the sweltering heat of that day! Thank you for sharing the joys of this simple life style with us!

About the host
Hosted by Donna Hall
We are Donna and Gary Hall, and we live on-site in the farmhouse. This farm has been in the Myers family since 1934 so there's a rich family history here. Donna has lived here since 1990. Our great niece and nephew are the sixth generation to grow up here. We value family-- ours and yours, and the amenities and activities for your farm stay have been designed with families in mind. We hope you enjoy your stay.
Why they chose this property
We find joy in sharing our property with others. We love the laughter of children as they discover new things. The Camp Cabin was built in 2006 for youth and family activities, but we are empty nesters, and it was sitting empty, until a friend urged me to rent it out. We've been offering the cabin for short term rental since 2017. When you come, read others' stories in our Camp Cabin Journal, and write your own as well. Your story matters!
What makes this property unique
Overwhelmingly, the number one adjective guests leave in our book is: PEACEFUL. This place has a peace about it that is hard to describe unless you experience it yourself. We hope you will visit soon.
