The cabin was perfect for a weekend fishing trip! The back deck was great hangout spot for our kids and they loved getting in the kayaks on the lake. Everything was clean and ready for our stay. The host gave us great recommendations on dining, fishing, and raft rentals. Already planning our next stay!
A lovely setting! We enjoyed all the wildlife—woodpecker, bluebirds, red wing blackbirds, and some sweet little birds nesting over the back sliding glass door.
Loved the view. Place was beautiful sitting out back. Enjoyed the ducks coming up. Only complaint i really have is we got there maybe 15 mins early n wasnt able to get in. Never had a vrbo not let me in a lil early but the host was reachable n offered to unlock. Even got a deal on another night! Would definitely book again!
The property was as advertised. Everything was clean and in a peaceful location. We were a bit surprised at the size of the "lake" as it ended up being more of a pond. We did take the kayaks out but the water is pretty nasty and not ideal for swimming or fishing. That was all fine though because thr purpose of our trip was to float the Spring River. Overall a great stay and i would return.

Serene, Tranquil & Relaxing Stay
Upon arrival I was not impressed with some of the "junk" like old RV's, etc. around the area. We arrived late so it was hard to see and find the house. I was a bit nervous due to what I could see. The area is old and run down. The house wasn't as clean as I thought it should be. The towels and cookware need to be replaced. There is no dishwasher so you have to trust the person before you did a good job or hand wash what you use before you use it! Outside of all that, we loved the stay. I loved getting up in the morning and opening all of the miniblinds because the view is awesome! The girls loved being able to go kayak when they wanted. I didn't have to worry about them because the body of water is big but not too big and it was so calm. Although you feel like you are out in the woods, town is very close by. All in all we'd go back!
Was really easy this property. Justus was helpful. House is very clean and has everything you need, bring your food and drinks. Saved us on cooking meals instead of eating out every meal. I highly recommend this property.
The views on the lake are impressive! The ducks were so friendly. This time of the year, the water was cold but the use of the water toys made us forget that! My grandsons spent many hours on the lake, and of course, feeding the ducks! The heat/air conditioner work great. The owners are at getting back with you about absolutely any issue. The only issue I had was the air conditioning was on and we needed heat at this time of the year. I called and in less than a minute, the heat was on! I was a little nervous about the cabin being a duplex but the wrap around deck, picnic table and grill made the area seem so private and secluded. We all give this Spring Break Mini Vacay a 10!!! Thanks for a GREAT time!!! See you next time.
I would definitely book this place again . Everything was nice and clean. The deck that wraps around the duplex is wonderful. There was no one renting the other side while we were there so I can not comment on that . I would be a great place if you had a large family and friends you could rent both sides. It’s a flat walk in the front door which was nice for my Mother, there is two nice bedrooms and a full bath up stairs. Does have nice handrails to help if you have an older family member. Lots of windows to enjoy the view of the lake. We took the kayaks and the paddle boat out my grandson enjoyed looked for turtles.. we look forward to staying here again when coming to visit family in the area.
Cute duplex with a beautiful view! Justus was an excellent host! Great spot for fishing, and is also near the Spring River for a float trip! I highly recommended staying here!
