Advance to Boardwalk! Two spacious and luxurious bedrooms, one spacious loft, three bathrooms (one with Jacuzzi), directly on the beach with two Oceanside decks lead you to your own private boardwalk right onto the beautiful sands of St. George Island. The Master Bedroom with a king bed offers a private deck overlooking the ocean and has a private attached bath with Jacuzzi tub. The second bedroom with a queen bed also has a private attached shower. The third floor loft offers a queen bed and a bunk bed. Multiple flat Screen TVs, VCR's, and DVD' s, free wireless high speed internet access, plenty of chairs on the beach-overlooking decks. Hot and cold outdoor shower, Park style grill.

Great central island location (the 9th cottage from light house), just steps to island playground, shops, and restaurants. There is no need to take a chance anywhere else!

St. George Island has no highrises and is a family friendly, relaxing break in the Gulf of Mexico. It is central to Florida's largest eco-tourism area. Come try it out! Once people discover the area they always come back.

LENGTH OF RENTAL

Boardwalk offers only weekly stays except Winter. Reservations for less than a week may be made for Spring and Fall depending upon property availability and approval. (Short stays are usually available to be booked within one month of the arrival day.)

2. Monthly rental: $180 up to two dogs and $80 for each extra dog

Thank you for the review and comment! We are glad that you enjoyed your stay at Boardwalk! We can well understand some frustration with the grill being placed low - however it was placed low because of the beach front location and the associated near constant breeze. If one has experienced the even greater frustration of trying to grill in a constant breeze one can appreciate why many beach fires - especially for cooking - are built in a pit. Local wisdom led to the grill being placed low in order to take advantage of whatever shading is available from the dunes without erecting more structures in this special environment. Best location to enjoy the island.

Great place to crash after a day at the beach, The AC and fans kept it cool during the 80 degree weather and it is located perfectly for a quick walk to the food, night life and of course step out on to the beach. It has all you need for a great visit and fun with the family.

First, the location - it is right next to the light house, children can walk to the playground and basketball court, yet it is on the opposite side of the park from the condos and inn, so the beach is less crowded. Second, the comfortable beds - we believe a good night's sleep is key for a fresh start and a perfect vacation day! The property was in general amazing and the location can’t be beaten. There was an issue with the hot water that took two days to fix (but hopefully won’t occur again).

Thank you for the kind words regarding the property and location. While it was quite unfortunate that your stay coincided with the perfect storm of weekend weather causing a surge of plumbing issues in the area, many of the local plumbers being away for Thanksgiving, and the failure of the first new part requiring a second visit. we don't expect a re-occurrence. This is the first time in over 21 years that we couldn't get a water heater issue addressed within a few hours, plus we do regular preventative maintenance in order to avoid many common problems.

Beautiful location

We stayed for a short 5 nights, but loved the area so much that we plan on returning next year for a longer period. The location of this cottage is perfect within walking distance of restaurants and shops. It is right on the beach with amazing views. It is roomy and comfortable but could use a little TLC, especially the decks. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again.

No complaints at all about this property. The description and pictures are accurate, the house was very clean and neat, the kitchen well stocked. You are able to walk to everything from this location. The owner is very responsive to messages. Would definitely rent this unit again.

Why they chose this property

This house has a fun Monopoly theme decoration and super comfy beds. The central island location is great for leaving your car parked the whole stay - everything you need is within a short walk. And St. George gives a whole new meaning to "beachfront," you're so close you feel like you can hear the crabs skittering on the beach.
