Overlooking vineyards and the castle at Chinon in the distance, this restored 12th century cottage stands in a courtyard and forms part of the owner's castle, but is completely independent with its own garden and outdoor space. It combines historical features with modern comforts. Chinon has a medieval castle and an old town. An ideal location for visiting famous wine estates and Loire châteaux, Sumur, Azay-le-Rideau, Villandry and close to Montsoreau, Candes St. Martin and the old town of Tours. Horse riding, cycling, boating and golf nearby.

Très bon séjour dans un cadre remarquable

Une location dabs un Chateau est toujours quelque chose d'exceptionnel, le site de la Vauguyon avec vue sur la forteresse de Chinon est vraiment remarquable. Le propriétaire est très sympathique, le logement très spacieux et le jardin très agréable . Les équipements ne sont pas très modernes mais tout est très correct.

Vorstelijk verblijf in Château de la Vauguyon

Gîte 2 is een ruime accommodatie en van alle gemakken voorzien. Het uitzicht is magnifiek: wijngaarden met in de verte het château van Chinon in volle glorie! Je wordt omringd met geluiden uit de natuur. En ook erg fijn: iedere dag verse baguette en croissants, want de boulanger is op loopafstand, via de velden.

Super gepflegt, ein sehr netter vermieter, echtes schlossambiente,tolle lage, besser als fotos

Der vermieter hat herz und charme, da er perfekt englisch und etwas deutsch spricht klappt die verständigung prima. Er gibt einem auch sehr gute insider tipps, was sich zu sehen, trinken und essen lohnt. Die unterkunft ist ein echtes schloss und im bereich der ferienwohnung so stilecht aufgearbeitet, dass man die schlösser damit vergleicht. Es war unsere erste unterkunft in f, wo wirklich alles sehr sauber und funktionsfähig war. Die ausstattung war komplett, inkl. Sogar Spüli, klopapier, mülltüten etc. Viel freude hat uns auch der whirlpool bereitet. Der blick auf schloss chinon ist postkartenreif. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und bäcker sind in ca. 2 bzw. 1 km entfernung, weingüter auch fussläufig. Durch die zentrale lage sind viele sehenswürdigkeiten in ca. 1/2 stunde zu erreichen. Rundum war es für uns perfekt!
