"Clearwater by the Sea" is a beautiful and spacious 2nd floor 1-bedroom apartment located 2 miles from 3 magnificent beaches, stunning hiking trails along the ocean and marsh, and 6.5 miles from Portland Headlight and the Old Port. This private apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood with breathtaking views of the pond and marsh. Gorgeous sunrises and nearby ocean swimming, beach walking, and surfing are yours at "Clearwater by the Sea." (Pond and fenced-in yard is for view only, not guest use. Apt. is partially over garage, however garage doors not used at night during your stay. Off street parking for one vehicle.)

A lovely spot in a beautiful neighborhood. Close to beaches and the marsh. Convenient to Portland. The Host was super gracious, generous and helpful. The space was much nicer than it appeared in the photos. We loved our stay.

Wonderful first visit

We knew that the general location would be convenient for us, but it also turned out to be a terrific neighborhood - it's a quiet residential street that must be one of the nicest in Scarborough. The unit had plenty of room for the two of us and would have been fine even if there had been a third person in our party. Perhaps most important, it would be hard to overstate what an excellent host Kimberly was. She responded quickly to all of our questions, both when we were making the reservation and once we were there. She provided very detailed and very accurate info in the listing, in her email replies, and in the written material in the unit. She was extremely nice the one time we ran into her during our stay. And she was receptive and gracious when we offered a few minor suggestions at the end of our stay. We would be delighted to return if and when we are back in the area.

Perfect stepping off Point

Super clean and organized property. Well maintained quiet residential location with easy access to all roadways. Pond to rear of property perfect for gazing with morning coffee. Plentiful nearby beaches, restaurants, markets and attractions. Host family was approachable, friendly and respectful. Highly recommended to anyone staying in or around the area.

The apartment was an upstairs loft over a garage. The unit was updated with new fixtures.

I found the unit to be fine to stay while visiting Portland. Fairly secluded in a quiet neighborhood. I appreciate cooking so there was enough kitchenware. However, sharper knives to cut meat and vegetables and a toaster oven to warm up leftover would have made a premium amenity. Despite those shortfalls, I would stay there again.

Beautiful location and lovely host

The unit is very spacious, and the view is wonderful. It is in a quiet neighborhood close to the Eastern Trail, which we really enjoyed. Saw lots of egrets and herons in the marsh area. Kimberly could not have been nicer. She knew we were celebrating a special occasion and went above and beyond in her hospitality!

Perfect location

My friend and I stayed at Kimberly’s. Her place was very clean, comfy beds, nice touches, and easy access traveling to beaches and Portland. Her home was super quiet and in the morning it was nice to look out at the Marsh and hear the birds. We will be back.
