Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Communication
The house is in a great location and has a nice layout for families. Communication was not easy with the host messages and calls were not answered. The stove top did not work and the overall cleanliness of the cabin could be better.
Stayed for our daughter’s graduation from Appalachian. The house was nice to have family there to celebrate our daughter as she didn’t have a high school graduation due to COVID. The house was nice. We really enjoyed the deck. I would like to suggest including in the details more accurate information about the “Harry Potter book” as a sleeping space. This appears to be more for kids and should be noted it is not a full twin bed as it was a good thing my brother had to cancel coming up as he would not have been able to sleep there as he is 6 feet tall.
Cabin was great. Very beautiful. It was clean and accommodated all 3 families. Kids loved the bunk beds and my daughter loved the Harry Potter bed in the nook under the stairs. Definitely need 4WD to access and go up and down the drive way. We were very pleased with our stay.
Overall, we were very happy with this cabin. The views from the decks (yes decks plural!) were beautiful, especially during the time we stayed. We found the cabin to be very well stocked and enjoyed cooking in the kitchen.
I realize the layout of the property would make this difficult, but I do wish the fire pit area were a bit more accessible. A few of us ventured down and determined it would be too difficult to get everyone down there for time around the fire. Maybe in the future a staircase or more winding path would help.
The one thing that was a problem for us was when we went to use the "cupboard under the stairs", the sheets were NOT clean, filled with hair and glitter. We washed them in the on-site washer dryer, but in the future make sure these sheets are washed!
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and are considering trying to rent in the future.
