The property was beautiful! Exactly as described and was the perfect location for our friends weekend. Not too far from Stowe for snowboarding & lots of shops and restaurants. The hosts left a basket of essentials and the home was well stocked with everything we could need, which was greatly appreciated! We truly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning!
We had a lovely comfortable stay, the views of the forest colours were gorgeous from the balcony and the kitchen was fully equipped so I could cook without missing a utensil. The basket of goodies was very thoughtful, and Mike responded quickly and helpfully to all emails.
Great home! Large, Cozy, and perfect home base for skiing!
Our group of 8, ages 11 to 53, had a wonderful time at the Kay Chalet, our home base for a 3-day ski trip. The house is much larger and roomier than it appears in the photos, and we really enjoyed how the more modernized basement contrasted with the nostalgic 70s-style decor of the main floor. The hosts stocked the house very well (including permanent and consumable products like toilet paper, detergent), so there was nothing we found ourselves missing. The roads leading to the house are well paved and the setting is lovely. On clear mornings, we even had views of Stowe/Mt. Mansfield out the large sliding windows! We would rent this home again!
We recently had the pleasure of staying at this house and we couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at home. The house was immaculately clean and well-maintained, and the owners had clearly put a lot of thought into making sure that every detail was taken care of.
One of the things we loved most about this house was the beautiful views it offered. The location was simply stunning, with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and countryside.
Inside the house, we found everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the necessary appliances and utensils, and the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable.
Another highlight of our stay was the level of customer service we received from the owners. They were responsive to all our questions and needs.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable vacation spot
Property was very nice, clean & comfy. We came to ski. Smuggler’s Notch & Stowe mountains are both about 35-40 minutes away travel time w/ the roads. Yes they were plowed, but still some snow covered stretches. Plus driving in the mountains.
The house was very comfortable, plenty of blankets, & towels, TP, hand soap, laundry detergent, dryer sheets (we brought paper products, just in case & only needed up needing one roll of paper towels. Easy access into the house. Host (Mike & Martha) are very thoughtful & respond to text & messages quicker then some of my families members! The house has 3 bedrooms but plenty of room & could definitely sleep way more if you have air mattresses.
The town where the house is located is cute, there are places to eat & shop. The town of Stowe is closer then the mountain ( about 20 minutes) & has plenty of great places to eat & shop…super cute town!
We would definitely recommend staying here!
PS .They have snow shovels, salt & get the driveway plowed as needed. ( packing tip- we used space saver type vacuum bags- huge help w/ all our bulky snow gear, If you are like me & overpack... they come in handy! )
We stayed here for our (now) annual Stowe ski weekend and enjoyed the Chalet very much. Beautiful location and very clean, we especially enjoyed the lower level living room with wet bar. Very comfortable for 5 adults who liked to eat, drink and ski. Great communication with Mike as well...would def stay here again.
