Family home in the Queyras - enclosed garden, skiing & hiking nearby

In the heart of the Queyras, at an altitude of 1,600 metres and at the foot of the Col de l’Izoard, Maison Cadier accommodates up to 7 people in the hamlet of La Chalp, in Arvieux.

With its enclosed private garden, south-facing veranda and nearby slopes and trails, it is a lovely house for getting together with the family and enjoying the mountains, in both summer and winter.

Enjoy the Queyras in every season

One of the pleasures of Maison Cadier is being able to set off on foot straight from the house.

In winter, the family-friendly Arvieux ski resort is about a 5-minute walk away. You can also enjoy the cross-country skiing area, snowshoeing and the many activities on offer in the valley.

As soon as the weather improves, the trails starting from La Chalp allow you to explore the Arvieux valley and the landscapes of the Queyras. Hikes, family walks or simply days spent in the great outdoors: everyone can enjoy the mountains at their own pace.

And whatever the season, you’ll find the mountain and forest landscapes that give the Queyras its charm.

The house

On the ground floor, the house features an open-plan living area with a fully equipped and functional kitchen, as well as a bedroom with an en-suite shower room.

You’ll also find a toilet, a cellar and a south-facing veranda, which is lovely for soaking up the sun even when the temperatures are cooler.

Upstairs, accessed via a spiral staircase, there are two further bedrooms, a bathroom, a toilet and a dressing area.

The bedrooms

After a day’s hiking, skiing or simply spent in the great outdoors, a good night’s sleep is just what you need! We have therefore chosen high-quality bedding for all three bedrooms.

Pra-Premier Bedroom – ground floor
A 160 × 200 double bed, with an en-suite shower room.

Clapeyto Bedroom – first floor
A 160 × 200 double bed.

Marmotte Bedroom – first floor
Three 90 × 200 single beds.

Practical information

End-of-stay cleaning is included in the rental price.

Bed linen and towels can be hired upon request. Alternatively, you are welcome to bring your own, if you prefer.

For families with young children, a baby kit is available free of charge upon request: travel cot, baby bath, small stool and high chair.

A rental agreement is drawn up at the time of booking. It sets out all the relevant information about the house and your stay, so that you have all the practical details before you arrive.
