Centrally located on the scenic Isle of Palms just outside of historic Charleston, this beautiful 5-bedroom home on 22nd Avenue is the perfect place to enjoy a family beach vacation! Renovated in 2021, this home provides a modern, upgraded twist on the classic IOP beach house. A few features that set this property apart from the rest are a private saltwater pool, basement hang-out area with added amenities like a ping pong and foosball table, and even a backyard putting green! It is only one block to miles of pristine sandy beaches and the Atlantic Ocean, and it is within walking distance to local restaurants, retails shops and the grocery store!
Featuring contemporary furnishings, hardwood floors, neutral colors, and an abundance of windows, the main living and dining areas are located on the second floor of the home. The comfortable living room allows for guests to relax after a day at the beach and watch TV on the large wall-mounted flat-screen. The large dining table has seating for 8 guests. The updated kitchen has new appliances, granite countertops, and a breakfast bar area with 4 additional stools for entertaining and easy meals. There is also a bright, open breakfast nook off the kitchen with a 4-person glass-top table. Also on this main second level, you will find the spacious master suite (Bedroom #1). It features a King bed, TV, and a custom designed bathroom with dual vanity and walk-in shower. There are two other bedrooms located on this floor of the home. The second bedroom (Bedroom #2) has a Queen bed, and the third bedroom (Bedroom #3) has two sets of Bunk Beds. These two rooms will use the shared hallway bathroom with dual vanity and walk-in shower. Rounding out this level of the home is sun-room area with large TV and sectional couch. And for convenience, there is a half-bath and laundry room on this level as well. Moving downstairs to the first floor, or basement level, guests can enjoy the large entertainment room, which provides hours of fun! It features a wet bar, second refrigerator, a foosball table, a ping pong table, and a large, leather sectional sofa and wall-mounted TV. The two final bedrooms are located on this lower level. These bedrooms (Bedroom #4 and Bedroom #5) each have one Queen bed, and they have access to the shared downstairs bathroom with tub/shower combo. Head outside for some real excitement! The backyard area features a large private saltwater pool, lounge chairs, gas grill, oyster shucking table, outdoor dining table under the covered patio, and even a putting green.

-This house is not a party house and events are not allowed. We want you to enjoy your visit and have a good time, but please be mindful of your noise level and occupancy allowances. Isle of Palms has a noise ordinance from 10PM to 10AM. No more than 12 adults should be occupying the home. Also, please be respectful of the property furnishings, amenities, and neighboring homes. Please refrain from hanging decorations on walls and surfaces. If policies are not adhered to, fines up to $500 may be issued or guests may be asked to vacate the home. -Regarding Pool Heating: In the event of unseasonably freezing or cold weather, it is possible that pool heating may not be operable or available, as heating temperatures typically only reach 10-15 degrees higher than current outside temps and may still not be warm enough to enjoy.

The home is large and well accommodated our group of 10. The location is great. We had trouble with the A/C though and perhaps it was because it was so hot but by the end of our stay a few bedrooms were too hot to sleep in while others were fine. The pool needs some updating but sure saved us from the heat. The online pics are a little out-dated too.

My family spent the week at this property including Thanksgiving. I really liked the house, but think it could use some sprucing up. The downstairs was nice, the 2 bedrooms were sparcely decorated & the beds could use an upgrade. The pool was very popular, even with it being a bit chilly. Loved the front porch with rocking chairs. All in all pretty good stay.

Was a great trip with a bunch of guys to IOP. We made several journeys to Charleston, used the pool and the mini ping pong table.
The supplies in provided with the house are sparse, but the property was top quality and the check in/out process was very easy. Would rent again, PS we never found if there hwas a nearby beach access… the closest one we found was a 1/2 mile away. I’m sure there may be another but we were more into the pool.

Great layout for our group of 11 with plenty of room to spread out. Outside area with TV was perfect place to have some drinks in the evenings. Very close to beach and several of our favorite restaurants and bars.
Suggestions-
hangers in closets would have been great
fix screen doors so they don't slam shut

Upper bunk bed needs repair
rug inside near front door to dry shoes

Check in process was quick and helpful. Property was perfectly clean. Only complaint is the outdoor gas grill. It is quite old with rusted grates and crappy burners.

Pool was beautiful. Bunk room was perfect for all our nuggets. Beach proximity was awesome.
Could have used grilling utensils, a pizza cutter, cutting board and possibly a griddle for making big breakfasts. Beds could’ve been more comfortable.
Our needs were met and our stay was wonderful overall.

We lucked out into this rental! We had two elementary kids, two college kids, and three adult couples and there was a lot of room for everyone. We had a minor issue and the owners were very responsive and sent maintenance to take care of it within the hour. Location very convenient to beach, restaurants and a grocery store. Everything was walkable.
If you have a larger group and want to stay near Charleston, this is a perfect place to stay!
