Family friendly, conveniently located; minutes from Blowing Rock and Boone.

Welcome to our mountain oasis! Our cabin has all of the rustic charm and privacy you want for your getaway, but is close to all of the amenities you could dream of! We are conveniently located between Blowing Rock and Boone, NC. We are minutes to Tweetsie Railroad, the Blueridge Parkway and Appalachian Ski Mountain. We are a short drive to Sugar Mountain, the Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster and Hawks Nest. Appalachian State University is just down the road, and there are plenty of world class restaurants nearby as well! The cabin has a queen master suite on the second level. There are two bedrooms on the main level with the kitchen, living room, laundry and full bath. One is a queen room and the other has a full and twin. The basement has a kitchenette, extra living space, a full bathroom, a bunk room (two full bunk beds plus trundles), and an additional bedroom space with another full bunk plus trundle. We are perfect for 1 larger or 2 small families, as well as a small group of responsible adults.

FWD is recommended in winter months. (Dec-March)

Please note: there is a ring doorbell that records movement by the front door. We turn off notifications while guests are using the house, but expect it to remain active for security purposes.

There is no garbage pickup. Do not leave trash outdoors. Trash must be removed and taken to the local recycling center. Add’l fees if trash is left.
Be courteous to the neighbors, no loud music after 11pm, and treat our home as if it's your own. Do not remove furniture from house.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was very clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The wooded setting was beautiful, peaceful and perfect for relaxing. Plus it’s a short drive to Boone and downtown Blowing Rock. Making wonderful memories our neighbors, adult children annd their friends. The icing on the cake was an App State football win against Oregon state. go Neers! Courtney was a wonderful with responding to our questions in a timely manner!

What a wonderful little gem of a house. Great location, great house and a great property manager. She made the whole trip stress free. The house held 7 adults without any issues. It could have held more if you like. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great week/weekend trip

Had a great long weekend! The house is spacious and was very clean! Really convenient location, easy to get to downtown Boone and Blowing Rock. Only bummer was having to take the trash at the end of the weekend to the landfill, it was a holiday weekend so it was closed. Obviously not the owners fault but just something to consider in the future if renting on a holiday.

Family - first ski trip

We loved Courtney’s cabin! So cozy, a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern amenities. The L shaped sectional was very comfortable with extra throws to wrap up in. Everyone agreed the beds were great. It is a newer construction so the kitchen and bathrooms were perfect. Our grandchildren enjoyed foosball and the arcade game on the lower level. Loved the location close to Appalachian Ski Mountain. The minor inconvenience of no garbage pick up was a small price to pay for the beautiful setting in the mountains with woods all around

Family reunion 2021

Very good location. You will be in the middle of nature but still just two miles away from stores, restaurants and other attractions. House is clean and appliances are new with well stocked kitchen. Linens, toiletries and bedding were in full supply. Beds and pillows were comfortable even for the twin bed inside trundle and I sleep in memory foam at home. Three floors with three TVs, adults, teens and little kids got their own entertainment. Swings and dining table outside were best for eating breakfast while listening to birds chirping.

Beautiful property tucked away in the mountains

We had 4 kids and 6 adults staying and came up for an App St football game. We had stayed in the area multiple times and kind of knew what to expect. The house was close to town, which was great! We walked in at night and we’re very pleasantly surprised how clean and pretty the home was. There was even an arcade game downstairs for the kids. When we woke up in the morning we had coffee with a few of the local deer and the kids went exploring in the woods. We were less than 10 minutes from downtown Boone but the views and the home made it feel like we were hours away from anything. Such a wonderful experience and can’t wait to come back again. Only downside, have to take trash away as there is no trash service. Had a ride into town with a number of trash bags in our vehicle. Luckily it was only a weekends worth so they didn’t stink too bad yet. Host was very responsive and very friendly. Thank you for your help! They have a wonderful set up, great fire pit and really fun stuff for kids to do at the house.

Perfect for families

The house is beautiful. The location is great- close to Boone and Blowing Rock, but feels like you are in a secret mountain spot. The house has everything you need for a great vacation with a big group. The kitchen is well appointed and has everything you need. The additional refrigerator and counter space downstairs made cooking for a crowd easier. Having linens provided was a big plus. The host was great at communicating. I highly recommend this house.

Amazing Cabin in Great Location

We go to the mountains multiple times a year. We have stayed in many cabins and condos in the surrounding area. Our family usually stays at Chetola resort, but we had a larger group with not only our family of 4, but our good friends who are a family of 5. This is a great house for large groups, plenty of space, beds, and love how it has two separate kitchens. Also, great for young children. We had a blizzard while we were there and every consideration was made from the owners. They are so nice and helpful. Our driveway was plowed the morning after the snow, and they offered an extra night if we felt it was unsafe to get out, which wasn’t necessary, but very sweet. The cabin itself is in the middle of Boone and Blowing Rock. We snowboarded at multiple locations, and the kids had a great time playing in the snow. Great cabin!

Beautiful cabin

This cabin is wonderful! Plenty of places to sleep, and a well stocked kitchen! Location is close to town with shops, grocery stores, and restaurants. Cabin is close to Grandfathers Mountain- a must see! Owners respond to questions immediately! We would definitely stay here again! Pictures don’t do it justice- it’s beautiful- inside and out! Cozy! The porch is wonderful!

Why they chose this property

This neighborhood is close to everything! The proximity to restaurants and shopping cannot be beat. However, you feel secluded and have a lot of privacy at the cabin. It feels like the best of both worlds!!
