Welcome to Blomsterhus Fågelfors!

The attractive, detached holiday home is located on a large natural plot in a quiet, beautiful location on the outskirts of the small town of Fågelfors in the Swedish region of Småland. It was almost completely renovated in 2014 and was very valuable, comfortable and extensively equipped.


The spacious living and dining area is on the ground floor of the typical Swedish-red wooden house. Two comfortable sofas, fireplace, LCD TV with satellite TV (German, Swedish and international programs), DVD player, stereo and a cozy reading corner invite you to linger. Various DVDs, CDs, books and a selection of games are available here. - Free WiFi is also provided.

The fully equipped country-style kitchen has a 4-ring ceramic hob, dishwasher, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster and many other cooking utensils.

The modern bathroom has a shower, toilet and washing machine.

The romantic bedroom on the ground floor is furnished with a beautiful double bed (180 x 200 cm) and a large built-in closet. The second bedroom with its built-in wardrobe and two comfortable single beds (90 x 200 cm) is on the upper floor. The ceiling height on the upper floor is slightly lower than on the ground floor.

At the bottom of the stairs to the upper floor there is a lockable door for child safety. The stairs are typical of Sweden, so a little steeper than most German stairs. At the top of the stairs there is a threshold-free children's gate.

On request (please specify when booking), a high chair and a high-quality travel cot (incl. Mattress, bed linen and bed covers), children's dishes and age-appropriate toys are provided free of charge.

The 3000 m2 natural site and the directly adjacent forest offer plenty of space to relax, play and explore the Swedish flora and fauna. A covered, partially glazed terrace, with comfortable garden furniture and a massive outdoor grill ensures well-being in any weather. Two sun loungers and a covered bicycle parking space are available in the garden. A coverable sandpit, a swing and various outdoor toys offer children entertainment for many hours.

There are many different beautiful lakes around the small town of Fågelfors: Lake Övresjö, 3 km away, is particularly suitable for swimming with its official bathing area with non-swimmer area, diving tower, sandy beach, barbecue area and toilet. The nearby Emån River offers plenty of opportunities for fishing - it is considered one of the best fishing waters in Europe. Fishing licenses for the surrounding lakes are available in Högsby.

The beautiful area around the "Blomsterhus Fågelfors" is ideal for sporting activities such as hiking, cycling, fishing, canoeing and Nordic walking. The idyllic, nearby forest also offers ample opportunities for picking berries and mushrooms and for observing a wide variety of indigenous wild animals.

We also own the holiday home "Blomsterhus Soläng" (object no. 2445503).

The house is absolutely comparable in terms of equipment, but it can only be used by up to three people. It has two bedrooms, a bathroom, WiFi, satellite TV, washing machine, dishwasher and a large covered terrace.

The "Blomsterhus Soläng" was renovated at the end of 2015. It is located on a 1000 m² plot of land, 400 m away from the beautiful lake Valen. The "Blomsterhus Soläng" (object no. 2445503) is rented with a rowboat and three bicycles.

Book "Christmas in Sweden"!

Children's dreams come true here. From mid-November to the end of December we rent our holiday home decorated for Christmas. Let yourself be brought into the Christmas spirit at “Blomsterhus Fågelfors”.

Enjoy cozy evenings in front of the fireplace, bake cookies in our fully equipped kitchen, be entertained by our collection of Christmas DVDs, books and CDs and enjoy the Christmas decorations throughout the house.

Experience the famous Lucia Festival on the 13th December with its church concerts and lights. Visit one of the traditional Christmas markets and try the Swedish Glögg. Let yourself be enchanted by the Christmas, wintery Sweden!

Our beautiful holiday home is winterproof and has an open fireplace and a new central heating system with individually adjustable radiators in every room.

If you visit us on Christmas Eve, we will of course be happy to provide you with a decorated Christmas tree for free!
