Property was exactly as described and situated at a perfect spot on the upper part of the lake. Property and house are well maintained. All had a great time.
We had a wonderful time at Sunsets & Island views. The property is an amazing place to hang out and enjoy time with the family. The multiple sitting areas offer different views of the lake and the dock makes it easy to rent or bring your own boat to enjoy all of Lake Norman. The hosts are great and very responsive to any issues or questions you have about the property. We will be back to stay again.

Wonderful house and grounds
Went for a long weekend of mountain biking and relaxation with some friends. The house is such a great place and the grounds are even better. Wonderful patio/deck and multiple terraced seating areas. The private setting makes you feel like you're in your own world. Loved every minute of it and hated to leave.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and got to take advantage of all the outdoor areas.
We stayed for a week in July 2021. Beautiful home in perfect location. Great for all ages. Owner is great to work with and immediately responds to any questions. Home has everything you need for a wonderful stay. We have stayed at other vacation properties on Lake Norman - this one is by far the best. If you are searching for the perfect location for a family getaway to the Lake, look no further. We can’t wait to go back!

We gathered our kids from college and some other relatives for a Thanksgiving at a central location. The house was perfect. Kitchen had everything we needed. The weather seven cooperated for most of the stay. Great house. Great views. Great sunrises. Great place to enjoy family time

Repeating visitors and loved it again. This place is beautiful and functional for our family of 6. The views are amazing. The kitchen is fully stocked. The commercial icemaker is absolutely great! All kinds of extra perks that makes the stay welcoming. Lake Norman never disappoints. Hope to be back next year!
There are traditional lake cottages and the there’s this gem of a property. Very unique floor plan that opens to nature with tons of outdoor options. If it wasn’t for the glass, it would be hard to decipher where indoors and outdoors begin and end. The house itself is very well equipped and as advertised. The location is great and the we hope to return.

Thank you for your review. We are so glad that you appreciated the unique style of the house and hope you come back and enjoy it again~
Roomy and attractive accommodations. Easy walk down to the lake. Plenty of open space outdoors to enjoy the view. Safe little beach between the docks for kids to enjoy the lake. Just a great way to relax. Like that it was situated in the northern part of the lake, less boat traffic. We rented a pontoon boat from what’s up Boat Rentals, just across the lake. Would recommend them if you are interested.

Wonderful family vacation
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful vacation property. Every detail has been attended for a most leisurely and comfortable vacation. We brought our own water craft and there is was plenty of room on the spacious dock to accommodate them. Our family loves to fish and caught enough fish off the fishing pier to have a meal. The kitchen was definitely supplied with everything we needed to cook for our large family. We enjoyed movie nights in the spacious living room and slept wonderfully while there. The Bedrooms are all beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The sauna is a very pleasant added benefit! We have stayed here multiple years on our vacations and look forward to our next stay! We definitely recommend this vacation property.

Great having you back, and happy to hear that the fisherman were successful!!
We had a great week at the Island View house on Lake Norman. The house was amazing with so much room, and amazing amenities. We had plenty of room for all 7 of us - whether making meals in the large kitchen, eating in the dining room or on the big deck overlooking the lake, and even a rousing game of air hockey in the game room. The only part of the property better than the really cool, multi-level house and all it’s nice features was the lake and the two docks! Drinking coffee overlooking the water in the am and then splashing around in the water all afternoon with the kids and extended family made the trip truly memorable. My wife, kids(2), mother, sister and brother-in-law and myself all really appreciated the time together on Lake Norman!

Amazing Gem
What an incredible spot. The home and location are absolutely amazing. The owners have taken care of everything and ensured the stay was perfect. From the moment we walked in the door, I was ready to book again. The rooms are huge and well kept and the view is gorgeous. Swimming, boating and tubing, kayaking, paddle-boarding and just hanging out by the lake can all be enjoyed here and made our stay fantastic. Smores at the fire pit and movie nights in the living room were also memorable events for us. The home is also close to Lake Norman State Park where we also went every day. Top it off with great weather the majority of the time, and we can't wait to repeat it. The owners checked in by text to ensure everything was going as we hoped. Overall, an amazing gem.

Fantastic Thanksgiving Week
A great place to spend Thanksgiving week. The kitchen was ample in allowing us to prepare a Thanksgiving meal for 7. Love the convection oven. Lots and lots of deck space. We only used the outdoor gas grill once but it worked perfectly. The grounds are wonderful. This is a large house with room to be private when needed. The owner was very attentive to us and even warned us about the plentiful deer while driving in the area. The game room was a hit. The dock and swimming area look great for summer time activities. Would be a great place to dock a boat or a pair of Wave Runners. At first this house seems like it is a long way from Mooresville, but Troutman had everything we needed, and Mooresville is not that far away. We even had time to spend at the GoPro Motoplex racing Karts. We would stay here again. Thank you for allowing us to stay in such a great home.

So glad that everything worked out for your family's Thanksgiving gathering, and that you enjoyed your time at the house.
As you mentioned the drive to Mooresville is not far on the "back roads" and lots to do there. Good to hear you took advantage of all there is to offer in the area. Please come back anytime~
It was our 1st visit to Lake Norman & our family had a memory-making time. The house is located in a beautiful wooded neighborhood where our Grandkids could catch fire flies at night. Lots of places to sit & relax outdoors & indoors. I especially liked the screened in Carolina Rm & think it would be even comfier with a glider rocker or 2…The COMMERCIAL ICE MACHINE located in the laundry room was awesome!! We brought our boat & loved the ability to tie up to the dock during our visit. It made for easy lake access & an EPIC core memory of teaching 1 of our G’kids how to wakeboard! All of us caught fish right off the dock too (catfish & blue gill). Even though there is plenty of parking, the driveway is quite curvy & steep so, navigating it, with a trailer is not for the novice. Another consideration especially for anyone in your group who has mobility concerns…this home is laid out with LOTS of (well lit) steps & stairs indoors & outdoors. Our Hosts were very responsive however, I did rate the checkin process with only 4 stars because I had to request info for the checkin process when it wasn’t provided within the 3 day window prior to arrival. Also, instead of a keyless lock system to access the home, you will be responsible for a single key (that I tied to my wrist with a rubber band). It was so difficult to put back in the lock box upon our departure, I had to text the Hosts a note that I hid it in another spot outside. Overall, we had a great time & recommend this location.
This home is truly special. A great layout with plenty of space to spread out inside and lots of sitting areas outside. Our two families loved the home and had a fantastic vacation. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed and spotlessly clean. Denise was an awesome host, responding quickly and graciously to any messages. We would love to return for another stay at this awesome place.
We absolutely loved our stay at this location. This house is perfect for families. There is plenty of space for everyone to hang together and as well as decks and sitting areas to grab some alone time. The kitchen is well stocked, too! Owners were wonderful and communicative. We will rent here again!
We spent a wonderful week on Lake Norman. The house was nice and laid out perfectly for our family. Whether you wanted a quiet place to read, watch tv, play pool or air hockey or sit outside and enjoy the view we found it here. It was fully stocked with everything needed to make it feel like home away from home. Kids had lots of fun swimming, boating and playing games. We had a great time!
We loved the house. It is located in a nice part of the lake, away from the crowds. Views were amazing. The house had everything we needed. Best of all, Denise and Peter were great and easy to do business with.
We truly enjoyed this house! It’s huge and so uniquely built! Whoever did the landscaping here knew what they were doing. Its similar to being at a resort. We had so much fun fishing off the dock! We caught fish even in the middle of the hot day. We caught catfish, bass and sunfish. The kids enjoyed running around the property looking for lizards and tadpoles. The owner was really nice. We accidentally left meds there and they shipped to us. Cool place! Would for sure go again.
We agree with all the positive reviews below! The house is nestled under big trees and located in a quiet neighborhood. No thru traffic. Property and house are actually better than the pictures in person!! The house has a ‘70’s vibe meets Frank Lloyd Wright. At night the property is beautifully lit. We had 6 out of 7 nights of great sunsets right from the dock.
We are a family of 4. Our young adult children had friends comes stay with us. The house worked well if we all wanted to be together and also if we broke off into groups allowing everyone to have their own spaces!! The stove, oven, and grill were all easy appliances to use and in great condition. The kitchen is stocked with everything you will need.
Breakfast and lunch on the large deck with the shade of the trees was one of everyone’s favorite spots.
We would totally recommend using Jed from What’s Up Watersports for boats, SUP and kayaks. They are located just across the lake and easy to get too. Also, if you are looking for a private fishing guide, we used Justin from Fishers of Men. He picked us up and dropped us off right at our dock.
Denise was easy to work with and very responsive. You won’t be disappointed if you rent this home!
Thanks Denise for opening up your home and allowing us create wonderful memories!!

Thank you Robin! We are so glad you enjoyed the property and took advantage of all the different outdoor areas, I agree the photos do not do it justice!~
We welcome you and your family back any time~
This is a prime property, inside and outside. Spacious and well -appointed. The bedrooms are gigantic as are the baths. Each bedroom has its own full bath. One of the master baths even has a bidet and a sauna! House is well-stocked with all of the basics and there were even a few extras in the kitchen. There is a huge amount of lounging and recreation space, for rainy days or those few times you don't want to be outside enjoying the deck or the lake.
Gorgeous outside, with massive shaded deck and beautiful views. The deck is gigantic and has plenty of room for everybody to hang out and dine together. The house fronts on water that is relatively quiet and very easy to kayak the shorelines, even when boat traffic is busy on weekends. During the weekdays we had the lake to ourselves. Launching our kayaks was a bit of a challenge at first. The property's shoreline, like much of the entire lake, is a bit difficult to access because it is steep and rock-covered. Nevertheless, once we figured it out, we were able to launch and remove our kayaks by lining them up onto the water side deck. Very simple for two people, and not all that hard solo. Our family has rented many VRBO properties and this is one of the best.
