We really enjoyed our stay at the Modern Farmhouse! It was very clean, spacious, and exactly like the pictures and better. We would highly recommend this place to other guests and would come back. Great stay!
Beautiful home- had everything you need if you forgot to pack something for the kitchen. Comfortable beds. Great communication. Will definitely return for future family events in the area.
Our stay at the farmhouse was for family to attend UVA final exercises and the home did not disappoint. The week-end was rainy but the house was cozy and inviting making the celebration of the week-end as special as we wanted it.
This is a lovely home and so comfortable, clean and well appointed. Four sets of aunts and uncles stayed here for a family wedding. We hosted the farewell breakfast on the porch and it was the ideal setting with shade and breeze. There was some road noise on the front porch but the easy access to a rural farm setting was worth it. Highly recommended and we would definitely come back!
This lovely home is nested in a working farm in a nice quiet setting. This property was absolutely stunning, picturesque and was beyond our expectations. The home is decorated with eclectic style exactly as depicted on VRBO. The kitchen is a gourmet kitchen with everything you could possibly need to entertain guest and family. You can enjoy cooking, playing games or just relaxing. The bedding, pillows & sheets were so comfortable. Everything in this home was well taken care of, absolutely no wear and tear on any furnishings whatsoever. The wrap around porch was perfect for visiting over morning coffee, a late afternoon glass of wine, or just sitting and reading. Plenty of fresh new towels and every space had anything you could think to need including toiletries. Easy access to major roads and close to grocery stores, antique shops, sporting events and wineries.
Fantastic! Great place to stay with friends and family for a weekend get away. We were in town for a concert in Charlottesville, which is an easy 25-30 minute drive from the property. Place is as advertised and is super clean and comfortable. Everyone LOVED the kitchen, it's quite large and has everything you need for entertaining (except a pizza cutter, at least we couldn't find one :) ). The house has great character and warmth. Would definitely stay here again.
This was a lovely property and perfect for our girls’ weekend. Communication with the owner was easy. The location is close to lots of wineries and distilleries. It is on a working farm and a busy road but not a concern. We enjoyed the views from the porches. The house was clean, well decorated and had plenty of space. We noted a couple small issues, but nothing problematic; no fire pit as the listing stated, kitchen adequately stocked but a bit disorganized and tv difficult to use. We had a great relaxing stay and would certainly come again.
We really enjoyed the property! It is right next to an active farm so that was a surprise! The little pup who lives on the porch is so cute. House could’ve used a vacuum/mop/dust. Overall great!
We booked last minute and we absolutely loved this place! The house is impeccable and so wonderfully decorated. This house only sleeps 8 and we had to make a few arrangements but that never stopped us from a great trip! Margaret was fantastic and communicated with us right away. There are two little doggies there that live on the porch and they were cute companions! I wish we had more time to explore the farm, but maybe next time!

First of all, the house was beautifully decorated and was clean and had lots of towels. However, the rental description is very misleading. It makes it sound like you might have access to some of the 66 acres the property is located on; however, this is not the case. The house is on a working farm and surrounded by electrical fences. There is a very small amount of yard space available for use. There are also multiple dogs running around the property 24/7 and other animals living in the barn across the driveway. The dogs are sweet but do run loose and also bark on and off all night. We were there for about 30 days and had no water on three separate occasions. We also did not have air conditioning for almost a week on the main floor. Luckily, the house has two units and we still had air upstairs where three of the four bedrooms are located. In addition, the basement is used as the business office. We felt like we were an inconvenience and had limited privacy.
