River is not swimmable. It is dried up from drought and overgrown with plants. Not recommended unless you just want somewhere boring to sleep in Johnson City.

There is no river on the property; however the creek and lake are severely impacted by the 18 month drought that has plagued the Texas hill country. In normal weather conditions, the creek and lake are both good swimming spots as can be seen in our pictures.
Excellent communication. Tom, our host, was always attentive to our needs, ensuring we enjoyed the property and its amenities without being intrusive. The property is peaceful, with no neighbors other than nature. The cabin is cozy, spacious, and beautiful. We will definitely be frequent guest.

About the host
Hosted by Tom McEntire
After spending 37 busy years working in Houston, in 2020 Tom and Becky retired to their hill country ranch in Blanco County. Blessed with abundant wildlife, gorgeous sunsets and the natural beauty of the Texas Hill Country, their ranch also offers a quiet solitude not found in the big city. Tom and Becky also enjoy chauffeuring their dogs and grand-dogs around the ranch.
