I had the best time at the cabin… it exceeded my expectations and the listing photos don’t do it justice! It’s modernized and still has all sorts of rustic charm. I enjoyed waking up to roosters and hanging out with the host’s dog and cats. The bed is amazing. The kitchen is stocked. The surroundings are peaceful. I feel rested and rejuvenated and i did not want to leave!

Thank you for taking the time to give us a great review. You all were wonderful guests. We are so happy we could host you for almost 3 weeks! And would love to have you again in the future;)
We had a beautiful stay at Natchez Hideaway. Molly and Joel’s cabin is wonderful. Everything you need and even what you don’t think you’ll need it’s available to use. The decor and attention to detail is one of the many things that makes this place magical. We took our two year old and Molly made sure to have a toy section just for him upon our arrival, which was much appreciated. The two guard dogs are so friendly and great walk companions, my husband wanted to bring them home . We hope to be back soon for more time away from city life.
The charming little cabin is perfect for a get away. Close enough to Franklin to enjoy the sites and sounds of the town, but return in the evening to a perfect place to just relax and enjoy nature. The cabin was clean and stocked with everything that you could ever need. My husband enjoyed our weekend stay very much.

So glad you enjoyed our sweet little slice of heaven for your getaway.
My wife and I stayed for a quick trip, but this place is everything as described. Tucked away in the woods, cozy but more than enough room. All the amenities you need and the host was extremely responsive and helpful. We will be back for sure!

How wonderful! We are so happy we could deliver… Even friendly fur babies as a bonus! Thank you again for whisking away into our wonderland that we love to call home… y’all come back now ya here;)
This cabin is exactly as shown. It is very comfortable with full kitchen and washer and dryer. The bed is the most comfortable I have slept in providing restful sleep. Sitting on the large front deck listening and watching the rain was so relaxing. We loved it so much we extended our stay. We hated to leave but We will return soon.
We arrived via Google maps Thursday and stayed through Monday. The cabin is so well stocked, we had the feeling of we were home. The area has restaurants close and really friendly animals. No stairs inside to worry about and the hosts are super quick in responding to anything we needed. We will be back.

Karen we are so glad to here that your sisters weekend was a success! We appreciate the kind words and can’t wait to have you back to “The Cabin”.
My husband and I loved our weekend getaway at "The Cabin" it is in a very nice location. We sat on the porch and listened to only nature. We had never visited this part of Tennessee before but quickly decided that we prefer it to the bigger, more crowded areas. The surrounding towns we fun to explore and every road we traveled was scenic. The host was quick to answer any questions and offer suggestions. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Karen thank you so much for the review - we couldn’t have said it better ourselves! We hope to see you again should you venture back this way. “The Cabin” will be waiting!
My husband and I wanted to get away for the weekend to celebrate our 2nd anniversary. This was the PERFECT place for a cozy couple weekend celebration. The cabin is located about 28 minutes from downtown Nashville, but we thoroughly enjoyed the drive to and from the cabin. What beautiful countryside!!! The cabin was so rustic and peaceful. Our kind of place. It is now one of our favorite places to visit and best memories. We did not want to leave and will be back. Thank you for sharing this little piece of heaven with the rest of the world. You are blessing to so many! I hope when the time comes to visit Tennessee again, we will have the opportunity to stay at the Natchez Hideaway cabin again. May God bless all who have the opportunity to experience this perfect little cabin in the most magnificent countryside in Franklin, TN,

Thank you so much what a great Review! We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay in our slice of heaven! Please message us next time your in the area!
The Cabin at Natchez Hideaway provided us with a wonderful long weekend getaway in an idyllic and beautiful Nature setting. There is a serene feeling as soon as you go up the drive and enter such a masterfully built cabin. The wide front porch with its comfortable rockers is the place to be of an early morning or late evening with birds chirping and a peacefulness you can enjoy with a hot cup of coffee or a brew. As you go into the Cabin, you’re taken back to times reminiscent of many of the beautiful antiques; the “homey” touches give you warm and cozy feelings of home - they make you smile. Overall, the decorating and providing many amenities of each area (kitchen, bathroom, living room/bedroom and gathering room) was truly well-thought out to provide comfort and meet every need you may have. The Host, Molly, was the Best. A truly 5 Star little gem in TN. We hope to return to Cabin at Natchez Hideaway soon. TY

Oh Pam… That is the sweetest :-) I definitely think you and my mom Pam and Joels mom Pam would be kindred spirits! Thank you for your eloquently written description of our humble abode. We would love to host you again anytime. The door is always open :-) Take care for now!
We liked the property and the location. It was secluded near the woods and very quiet. We were a little disappointed that we did not hear from the host until four hours from check-in and that was after I had reached out. Once we were in touch, the host was easy to communicate with. Our biggest disappointment was that there was no potable water at the cabin, and we were not aware of this until our first communication four hours before our arrival. When we arrived, there were six bottles of water, and we assumed we would be given more the next day as we went through those six quickly with drinking and coffee. We contacted the host and she said she could get some for us, but it wouldn't be until later that evening. Because of that, we just got our own water. There was plenty of water for bathing, but we just didn't feel comfortable cooking without potable water. We rechecked the listing to see if that was indicated but did not see that it was. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. The cabin was nice, the host was available during our stay, and we enjoyed the interaction with the pets. We did have trouble with cell phones, but we knew that going in and were ok with it.

I spent 3 nights at this quaint little cabin. I work long hours in downtown Nashville, so I was looking for somewhere quiet, yet close, where I could recharge my batteries for a few days. This place absolutely fit the bill! The host, Molly, was extremely responsive each time we communicated. On check-in day, she sent me detailed instructions. The cabin was only a 30 minute drive from my home - with the change of scenery, it seemed a world away! I found that the instructions were perfect, making check in a breeze. The historic cabin was very comfortable and appointed with rustic decor. It had all the amenities I would need! I didn't locate the bottles of water that were advertised as provided due to not being able to drink from the cabin's rainwater system, but it was not an issue as I had brought my own bottled water. My favorite part of the cabin was outside: the relaxing porch and the outdoor fire pit. I spent hours sitting by the fire every evening, just listening to the sounds of nature. I even got a visit from my new buddy, Bowie, the host's dog! The only minor inconvenience was that "Alexa" had been set to announce the time and weather each morning at 7:10AM. Since I was alone, the voice scared me awake, but I quickly recognized "who" it was and laughed. The next two mornings, I was up early, so looked forward to the morning weather report! I had an amazing stay and will most definitely be back! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet getaway!
Our experience was not pleasant, unfortunately. The rental process itself was fine, the directions on point. The pics were accurate. The listing mentions the dog, but fails to mention that he barks about every 15 minutes throughout the night. Owner wondered where he was, but didn’t bother to retrieve him from the cabin porch. You can’t drink the water, so if you think you need more than a couple 16 ounce bottles during your stay, be sure to take your own. I’d you want to sit and relax, I don’t know how you will do that because the sparse furniture is uncomfortable. You’ll also have to watch YouTube to figure out the TV setup, and watching YouTube with no internet service is an interesting effort. We never got it to work. Seems like the owners are trying to have this place be remote, but with modern conveniences, and it’s not working out well. The light switch was in the floor when we got there. The experience was an unexpected disappointment from the moment we got there. Our 1 night of no sleep cost us over $600 because we left the next morning.

Hi Kim,
We obviously are heartbroken about your experience and while we strive to be "perfect" we understand we can't please everyone.
After reviewing our correspondence we had nothing but great communication with you and also mentioned that if the dog "Bowie" was an issue we would get him squared away. We did not receive any texts or calls from you about Bowie. Everything you told us via messenger was that "everything was great!" Not sure why we didn't get a chance to make things right.
You mentioned this is a "remote" cabin and you are absolutely correct! Internet access is not available and that is why we mention it in the listing. Since your visit we have added a cellular booster and also an antenna for the TV that allows for access to around 30 +/- channels. Again - the point of this cabin is to unwind and take a break for all the things that interfere with our "zen time".
As for the light switch on the floor - we also have fixed that as well. It's an old cabin that we utilized wireless technology in to not have wires running across the walls as an eye sore. The adhesive failed and it happened when you checked in vs. when we had our cleaning lady there. Just bad timing on part of the adhesive. We have filed a complaint with 3M :)
Sparse furniture would make sense - the cabin is roughly +- 800 sq ft. Pretty much 100% of our guests have nothing but rave reviews about the amenities and if you are sitting inside then you are just missing out on the front porch rocker views, smooth glider seat and Jack Daniels barrel!
Also based on your feedback we have shot the dog.....
j/k - absolutely not! That night was just one of those "coyote nights" and resident watchdog "Bowie" was just keeping the bad guys at bay.
He's part of the property and does his job by keeping the chickens and mouse/rodent chasing cats (Moonlight, Lucky and Magic) safe. He also apologizes for his behavior during your stay. NOTE: He was grounded for a week.
Based on your review we would love to offer you 25% off a future stay if you would like to give us a second chance and we promise to send Bowie to a doggie spa wknd. Again - we are not perfect and neither is Bowie. So sorry to not live up to your expectations and we will do all we can to get better as a host. Thanks again for staying with us and again - we are truly sorry for the inconvenience.
What a great extended weekend stay we had at this cabin. First, it is absolutely spotless! It has so many cute and interesting decorations all throughout the cabin to check out and not one spec of dust. We felt comfortable and at home immediately. There are so many extra touches that make this cabin special like the to-go cups, every kitchen tool you might need, blankets on the rockers on the cute porch, fresh eggs, top quality towels, books, games, super comfy bed and the list goes on and on...We hiked along the ridge for hours and saw cool waterfalls and lots of wildlife. I even read some of the Irish Short Stories in one of the books! One of the days we went into the near-by towns of Leipers Fork for some shopping and then to Franklin for dinner. Both towns are very close by and are each so cool and different in their own way. The cabin is placed in the perfect place for enjoying nature but close to towns if you'd like some city life. My husband was so excited to meet the resident dogs who protect the chickens and I almost thought we were going to have to go looking for them. Lol! But, eventually Bowie came by and we visited with him several times after that throughout our stay. He can shake both paws and loves the treats the hosts leave for you to share with him. We truly loved his visits and he loved the ear scratches we gave him. He's such a good boy! We look forward to coming back and continuing our adventures at The Cabin@Natchez Hideaway!

Thank you so very much for this wonderful review. We’re so thrilled you enjoyed your time and all of the amenities and furry friends! Hope to host you again soon.
We loved the cabin and the property. The woods were so beautiful and the cabin had so much character. We were able to unplug and spend some time together as a family.
Beautiful, Secluded Cabin in Peaceful, Wooded Setting
We loved our week-long stay at the cabin—especially sitting on the porch swing and rocking chairs in the morning.
The cabin has all the amenities needed, although, as mentioned in the listing, WI-FI is spotty at best. We plan to return here again and greatly enjoyed the tranquil setting.
Two suggestions to improve the guest experience: Add an outlet and fan to the bathroom.
Our stay at the cabin was the best! Molly is an absolute doll, just a great person. The cabin was just as nice as pictured, Molly was gracious enough to make a number of special accommodations for us due to some medical issues my friend deals with. This really sealed the deal for us being able to stay here. The property is so peaceful, it was a wonderful place to rest and get grounded. The cabin is authentically rustic, but yet very up to date in style, and functionality (if that makes any sense!). We had everything we needed, including our own faithful watchdog and friend Bowie. We miss him already. We would love to stay here again! Thanks for everything Molly! Blessings!
