Me and 9 other friends came in town for Halloween and stayed here, it was a great property! Every room/bed was so comfy, we were a quick uber or drive from everywhere we wanted to go!
We really enjoyed our stay there. The house was much nicer than I expected with lots of high tech stuff the kids really enjoyed. And was an outstanding host, bending over backwards to help.
Well-maintained property with plenty of extras that permitted our family to spend a lovely weekend together with our Pitt students. Great communication with the host, who ensured we had everything we needed. Highly recommend.
We were in town for a wedding at Phipps Conservatory and stayed at the Sunny Bunny house. It's a very cool house with beautiful artwork all over, and Andi the owner was wonderful. There was plenty of room and the location was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
My family and I had a nice weekend getaway at the Sunny Bunny house. Our favorite feature was the hot tub! We had an issue with a late check in, but Andi was very accommodating and helped us get in as quickly as she could!
This is an incredible property, located just 2 blocks from CMU on Forbes, the main street. The house is an older place that has been enthusiastically renovated and decorated with art. And lots of rabbits-- a very fun bunny theme. Nice landscaping and we regret being too busy to enjoy the fire pit (and the smores kit!) and the hot tub!
Location was excellent. Size of house was great for 9 of us. The house would be awesome with some updated porch furniture and living room couch.
Bit of a wait to get our correct code but communication with host was over and above to get things corrected.
We really enjoyed our stay and appreciated hosts efforts to make our stay the best.
What a wonderful stay! Andi was a blessing and a wonderful host who helped me out in a pinch! I was able to book and stay the same day after another listing fell through the day we were set to travel to Pittsburgh and checkin! The property was lovely and nicely accommodated our entire family during my daughters graduation weekend. The house was fully stocked with all the amenities of home, including ingredients for s’mores! We will definitely book with Andi again! Thanks!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
Overcharged and then ghosted by the owner
We enjoyed our stay. The property was clean. Neighborhood was nice. Close to downtown and colleges etc. Side note: the artwork is a little racy for children.
THAT SAID, we were charged a $500 "additional guest fee" when the VRBO listing only said this fee would only be $50. I asked the owner Andi several times to explain the overcharge since it seems like an error. And now the owner has completely ghosted us. Without any communication from the owner, I have no other conclusion than to think she is dishonest and does not negotiate in good faith. We overcharged by $450 without an explanation. We have rented many places on VRBO but never treated like this. Buyers beware.
Plenty of space for 11 of us. This house was in a great location, and felt like a comfortable home. The unique style and art was a cool personal touch and good vibes radiated through the house!
The house had lots of bedrooms so it fit our extended family well for a wedding in the area. The addition of crib and pack n play were great so we didn’t have to bring our own! We were sad the weather didn’t cooperate for us to use the hot tub. The kids loved the little additions like the puppet stage and large connect 4 game outside. Overall we had a great stay!
The Sunny Bunny House was the best! The location was perfect for us and the house provided the space we needed for our family to gather for our daughter's wedding. We had family from Chicago and Springfield, IL as well as Washington, DC. Hotel rooms could NOT have provided so much family time together - creating those lifetime memories. We put together, frosted and decorated our traditional family wedding cake in the house and were able to store the cake in the refrigerator until the wedding. The beds were all occupied and comfortable. The kids had fun playing in the front and back yards. We enjoyed the firepit one evening but didn't have time for the hot-tub. Maybe next time! Andi was very attentive - we found a broken coffee pot and she brought an new pot that afternoon. Thank you so much for having this wonderful home available for our special occasion.
A great house for large groups. Nice flow for entertaining with well-designed kitchen, open dining and living areas, and large front porch. Bedrooms are spacious and entire house offers high-tech features. Off-street parking for several cars behind house a plus.
Newly remodeled. House actually had 2 queens and 3 kings along with bunk beds, larger than listed. And all very comfortable It was just perfect, and just adorable. It is walking distance to many attractions We had family gathered for a wedding and the bunny house became the place people came to hang out, grab a meal, and visit.
Perfect location and size for a larger group. Andi was a very welcoming host. The rooms were spacious which made it easy to hide away for a little privacy in between group hangs. 3.5 baths with good water pressure and never any issues of running out of hot water. Know that you will be by college student rental houses and keep in mind that sometimes means noise, but that should be expected so close to CMU (no fault of the owner, just keep it in mind if looking for a quieter residential street). The parking is shared with their other rental next door, meaning it is a bit first-come-first-serve for the 3 off-street parking spots. However, the street parking doesn't require a permit on evenings and weekends. Andi made sure we had everything we needed when we checked in and even allowed us a later checkout. We had a really lovely stay!
Fantastic House in Pittsburgh for Surprise Birthday
Our friends and family had a fantastic time at this property. First of all, it is far better than the pictures show - so many updates and personal touches not shown. We discovered new pieces of art and things every day. Everything we needed we had. We were in town to surprise a family member for her 30th birthday and had a group of 8 to 11 that were gathered at the house before and after the stay and about 8 of us stayed the night each night. Everyone was comfortable and even though it was a rainy weekend, we never felt cramped or like there was a lack of space to socialize. We also had one with us under 2 YO and you couldn't hear a peep where he was sleeping on the third floor as the adults enjoyed the evening after he went to bed. The front porch and back patio were fantastic as well. And it is a great location if you want to check out the nearby park or any of the surrounding areas. The house is elegant and eclectic and great for a stay or gathering. Andi was amazing with communication and even came over late at night (after we had some unexpected flight cancellations and delays) to bring us a crib and high chair. I really can't say enough about how great this house and host was. Don't hesitiate to book! We will definitely be staying again next time we are gathering in Pittsburgh. Thank you Andi!
