There is a large deck with a gas grill. Screened in sunroom. Large back yard with a fire pit. Also washer and dryer. Comes with all kitchen appliances included. Also bathroom necessities included.
It is 2 miles from a Dollar General store,Walnut Creek and Barren River state park. 200 ft to water access but no boat dock. Can swim and fish. One bedroom is a loft. State Park has a lot to do:

Lake house

My family and I came to visit family and sight seeing. Very close to everything we wanted to do. The neighbor was quiet. The lake house was very cozy and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Family vacation

The cabin was very clean and well stocked with necessities. We didn't have to purchase anything besides groceries to eat during our week-long stay. The lake was a short walk down the road and hill; we had the section of lake to ourselves during our stay as no one else utilized the area while we were in the lake. My teenager loved having the loft as his own little area and enjoyed climbing the ladder on the wall. The cabin was a short drive from groceries stores, restaurants, the Barren River State Park, and other activities. The cabin is located in a quiet neighborhood and had easy access to major roads. My family and I had a very peaceful and relaxing stay and we would definitely book with our hosts again!

Open Water Swim Meet

We were in town for our daughter to compete in an open water swim meet at Barren River Lake. This house was perfect! There was plenty of room for our family of 5 with close proximity to the event. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Lovely weekend

Hosts were communicative and helpful, and a detailed booklet was provided about the area. Stay was very pleasant; cabin comfortably slept the wedding party group we were with. The firepit was particularly nice, with some distance to neighboring lots, allowing for conversations to go some time without disturbing neighbors. Very beautiful area, and proximity to Paradise Point was perfect for a weekend stay.

Anniversary getaway

We rented at the last minute and Shelley was super helpful and quick to respond. The cabin was great for a getaway and close to the lake. We enjoyed the peace and quiet sitting on the deck and walked down to the lake. We would come again!

Quiet spot, cozy cabin with ample yard

Many nice features in this home/cabin from ceiling fans to an ice maker, to front and back porch/sunroom. Too bad some of us have low back pain and the beds on main floor were too soft for us. The location was perfect for where we wanted to be, near Barren River State Resort Park. We did not like the air "fresheners" plugged into nearly every room (we don't like chemical sprays), so I suggest you contact the host to have them removed prior to your stay. Host was quick to respond to queries and amenable.

Fantastic Stay

Our stay was great. There was 6 of us, 4 adults and a 14 year old and 8 year old and we have plenty of space. The beds slept great. The smaller bedroom is a full sized bed instead of a queen. That was okay but a queen would have been a lot better seeing how my son in law is about 6’1”. There is a ladder going up the wall to get upstairs to the 3rd bedroom. Great place for the 14 year old. We used the grill every night. The screened in back porch was great We would sit out there a lot in the mornings and evenings. We visited Mammoth Cave which is about 40 minutes away. Very nice drive. Our host was very nice and very easy to correspond with. Over all our stay was a 10 out of 10.

Nice place

Very cozy but not too small. Has everything you would need for a relaxing stay. Finding this house was easy online, however finding it on the Google and Waze apps was not. I recommend you get with the owner for detailed directions when you rent so you can find the house easier.

Just what we needed

It was the perfect location to our boat dock and had all of the amenities we needed! Our 12 year old loved the loft but not for sure if any adults would have liked staying up there! The master bedroom and bathroom were huge and the other bedroom was really small. Would definitely rent again!

Very clean and comfortable

The cottage was well stocked and had ample room. The location for family-reunion-overflow was perfect since it’s only 10 minutes to the main house we were using on the lake. The master suite is very, very nice!
