Sundestin 901 – Gone Gulfing is a beautifully updated 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo in the SunDestin complex, just steps from the sugar-white sands of the Gulf. This bright and airy getaway comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests with a king bed in the master suite, a king bed in the guest bedroom, and a memory foam sleeper sofa in the living area. Enjoy the open-concept living space, fully equipped kitchen, and private balcony with stunning Gulf views – perfect for relaxing after a day on the beach.

SunDestin is a vacation rental complex conveniently located in the heart of Destin, less than half a mile from Big Kahuna's waterpark. It is unmatched in terms of facilities and guest services: check out the two pools (outdoor and heated indoor), Splash pad for kids, exercise room, steam room, sauna, whirlpool, massage therapy, onsite restaurant, tiki bar, and gift shop, with a front desk staffed 24/7. There are also coin-operated laundry facilities on each floor.

We had a great time, it was really nice to just go down and walk to the beach, the girls loved the pool and the splash pad, everyone in the front desk was really nice . The view was incredible, we loved having breakfast and having the beautiful view. The beach wasn’t over crowded and the water was clear . We will definitely stay here again !

What an awesome vacation! The unit was well cleaned and beautiful. Centrally located in Destin which was great, a quick 5 minute drive (unless there is traffic!) to some great local restaurants. It was awesome being able to sip coffee listening to the waves on the porch in the mornings. The property manager was very prompt responding to any questions I had.

Perfect Getaway

901 Sundestin was a perfect place to stay during our vacation. It was central to all activities. The building had many amenities that my family utilized, including the gym, the store, and the restaurant. Our condo had a great view of the beach and was a very comfortable place for the 5 of us. We would love to come back and vacation there in the future.

Love this place!

This was the best vacation place, possibly better than the photos. Everything was exceptionally clean and updated. The unit was well stocked with dishes and everything we needed. We most of all loved the private balcony with high quality seating. We spent most of our condo time looking at the ocean. The view was unbeatable. I loved the convenience of the on-site store and restaurant. Every staff member we encountered was super nice and helpful.

Wow, what a view!

What a great property. You can't beat the view, it is just everything you'd want in a rental! Double sliding doors out to the balcony one from the living room and one from the master bedroom. Getting chairs and an umbrella on the beach was a cinch. My wife and I just loved it as part of our 35th Wedding Anniversary trip. Also, the whole building is currently being renovated and the new facelift is making it even more spectacular. Hope that down the line we can come back and check it out. Destin is a beautiful place with lots to do.

Nice location and view from balcony. Nice balcony furniture, but too large for the balcony area. Nice apartment decor, but place needs a good dusting and touch up paint. No hair blow dryer, no refrigerator light and we could not get DVD players to work. May need some good instructions for how to use.

We just replaced our balcony furniture with top of the line Polywood furniture and since our condo sleeps up to 7 guests, we wanted to have as much seating as possible for everyone to enjoy our amazing views!

Great girls trip!

This unit was great for our girls trip! Being a large building, I was very impressed with the four elevators being able to keep up without any issues. We loved this location in proximity to everything (harbor walk, outlet mall, restaurants and activities). The grounds were kept very clean. The room itself was in good shape. Beds were comfortable but we especially loved the pillows. Beautifully decorated with plenty of kitchen utensils. Our only complaint was the amount of sand left on the floors by the cleaning crew. I do understand it’s hard to kept clean up. I think they could have done a little better job with that specifically but otherwise the room was clean. Loved the bar night balcony chairs so we could see the beautiful crystal clear gulf. We would definitely come back to this unit again.

Research before booking!!

After staying here and looking at other properties. There’s several out there just as nice/nicer & a lot less expensive. Beach Chair & Umbrella rental is an extra $50 a day cost at this location as well. (This service is included at many other rentals) Host was very nice. I did tell her the things that needed attention in the condo and took pictures of the areas that needs cleaning/things fixed or replaced… She wasn’t interested in the pictures, She just stated they are buying new furniture in the future? The kitchen table rocks when eating at the table…. We even tried to put things under the leg to fix it. There’s a vent in the master bath that has black build up on it/it looks like mold… The refrigerator could use a deep cleaning…. Upon arrival, kitchen counters had a gooey/sticky substance on them….Had to clean them… We feel we left the condo cleaner than when we arrived. This property is more expensive than most, We did not mind the cost but wanted to have an enjoyable clean stay as well…. Do your research, you will find “more bang for your buck” elsewhere….. We actually LOVED Destin and did book (at another location) to come back in Jan. She didn’t seem to interested/concerned about the moldy vent and stated “she will talk to her cleaner's”, that was her response. You will need to go shopping or bring supplies also… You’ll need toilet paper for sure (one roll provided for each bathroom) Just know, there’s nicer/cheaper places to stay in Destin. Do your research!

We just completed a deep cleaning on the condo, and you were the very first guest to stay after the deep clean! Our cleaning team is so hardworking and the best in the business - any of us would have gladly gone back to tend to any issue. You paid $226.25/rent/night for a Gulf front 2 bedroom condo - there are always going to places for less and for more. Our building doesn't allow owners to purchase annual beach service - guests have the option to pay for rental or bring their own chairs. This is in my listing and was communicated to you again within minutes of booking. In your communication with me during your stay, you wrote: "Your home has a great view & is cozy & decorated nicely….. You have been very responsive to all my questions.. Which if I’d read the notebook on the counter 🤦🏼‍♀️ It had all the information in there and more!! Thank you for that…." And "I didn’t leave a review on VRBO because I don’t want you to get a negative review" but then proceeded to leave a bad review. Our communication with you was instant and kind - there is nothing in our messages that would lead anyone to believe that we didn't care. You didn't tell us about the counters and vent until you had already departed. We take such pride in our condo and want every guest to have an amazing and sparkling clean vacation!
