Roaches on bed and towels in cottage

The first night of our stay, I unrolled a towel on the bed in the cottage and 2 roaches fell out. Then I pulled down the comforter and more roaches were crawling around. I messaged the host on VRBO and heard nothing. I then messaged via text. The only response was that the host had not gotten the message on VRBO. No action or apology.

Unfortunately, I did not see your messages on VRBO and was not reachable by phone at that time. I completely understand your frustration and sincerely regret not being able to respond more quickly to resolve this issue. I had understood that the problem was taken care of by Catherine. I want to assure you that I will follow up precisely on how this matter was managed to prevent it from happening again. I take such situations very seriously and have immediately contacted a professional pest control service to treat the house to ensure this does not happen again in the future.
