Beautiful home in a quiet residential area yet close to everything. Beautiful lake views throughout the house and outside. Check-in was super easy and communication with the owner was great. Hope to be able to visit again.

This is by far the best place we have stayed. Room for six of us to sleep, eat and enjoy the backyard, the house is spotless, well maintained and beautifully appointed. The view from the house and yard of the Lake is breathtaking. We played cornhole, made smores, and all settled in for a late night movie together. Very special place that helped make a special weekend spectacular. Thank you to Linda and Scott!

Our visit was absolutely amazing! This house had the most unbelievable backyard that gave the most stunning sunsets over Lake Erie. The house was clean, comfortable and updated and had all the amenities needed for our month stay. The host was very gracious and accommodating and checked in on us during our stay. We felt right at home . It was quiet. Slice of heaven to share our time with family and friends. Definitely would go back.

Family Christmas

We are from Arkansas, but my son and 3 grandsons live in the Cleveland area. We got there in the evening and were delighted to see the home was completely decorated for Christmas. It is such a cozy home with a great kitchen, with a big dining table. It made for a wonderful celebration.

Lake view idyll

Beautiful location! Loved sitting on the deck where we ate most of our meals and enjoyed the sunsets Our 9 year old children were delighted with the Canadian geese that visited frequently. The sitting room with its many windows was another favorite spot.

Exactly as described

Every part of the rental process worked perfectly. The hosts were extremely responsive, the house was clean and well equipped and the location delightful. We had hoped to find a place that provided a comfortable retreat in which to destress and refresh. It turned out to be exactly that. Quiet and private yet close enough to the restaurants, shops and "attractions". We found the Mentor Lagoon to be particularly fun.

In Loving Memory..

My grandmother was 91 years old when she passed this year. She lived a long and full life and to honor her we wanted to just have a few family members over in a place that we felt set a tone of peace by the water. This place was beautiful place to do so.

Guys Golf Trip

Overall everything worked out great. The view was amazing and the weather was perfect which helped. Our only thing that was disappointing was that there wasn't a fire pit. Thank you for being so accommodating. We enjoyed your home.

Beautiful home professionally decorated and landscaped. This Vrbo would be great without the lake. With the lake it’s over the top. Views from every room, even the bathroom. Great neighborhood. Modern functioning appliances.

Lovely place

This was a wonderful safe location. I would recommend it to people with children that are older so you don’t have to worry about them falling near the water. The view was stunning. We went and kayak and the mentor Lagoon, which was very nice. We also went to Mentor headlands Beach, which was very nice, the host had various nice touches like complimentary toiletries and snacks. Beach towels, and sand chairs. I would highly recommend this home. Thank you so much for a lovely day.

A wonderful retreat!

I HIGHLY recommend this home!! We are a family of busy adults and this home on the lake was exactly what we needed to relax and unwind. The view of the lake was spectacular, the home was clean, organized and had EVERYTHING you would need! We seriously didn’t want to leave!! The communication with the owners was clear and easy to follow. If you are looking for an amazing getaway, you could not stay at a more comfortable and cozy home!!!!!!

Perfect getaway for peace, quiet and comfort!

Peaceful, quiet place by the lake, well stocked with everything you need. Good for us who struggle with stairs, everything was on one floor. One bunk bed so, we old folks couldn’t use one bed, but it’s a great place to escape. Linda was supper nice and responsive. I will definitely be back—and did I mention it’s on the LAKE. View is wonderful even though weather didn’t permit being outside—officially Spring but felt like winter! — that’s Ohio weather for you!

Perfect house in Mentor with a great view of Lake Erie

We rented this property for a girls trip and it was just wonderful for the three of us staying there, and perfect size for my 4 local nieces to visit one day. Very clean home, well stocked kitchen with everything you need for cooking and cleaning, and a very nice newly remodeled bathroom. Beds were comfortable (high beds and one of us had to use the step stool supplied to get in!). The family room has a great view of the lake and the seating is comfy. The huge TV is perfect for watching movies on Netflix! We loved sitting in the Adirondack chairs in the back yard watching the sunset over the lake, and had meals on the patio. The home works for families with younger children too. Linda is a very gracious and attentive host. Will stay here again!

sweet little house

I chose this little house on the lake for a reunion. I brought my elderly mother to visit her elderly sister and neither of them are able to handle stairs anymore, although they are otherwise able to get around pretty well. The house suited us. It was tidy and cozy for three and has a lovely yard and view. There were very few negatives other than the midges which were everywhere but certainly not the fault of the house. Also, I misread the specs, and thought one and a half baths meant there would be a tub and shower, but there is no tub, and only one shower. Which was fine for the 3 of us, but would be tricky had there been more.

Lovely home on Lake Erie. The home had everything that was needed to make our stay comfortable. Linda reached out to make sure we had everything during our stay. Great host communication. The home was close to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Cleveland Airport, and Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

Why they chose this property

It was to be a future retirement home and we couldn't do that just yet. It was the perfect size and location for what we were looking for. We are so excited to be able to provide a little escape for friends and families to enjoy beautiful lakeside living with everything provided but the guests.

What makes this property unique

Residential neighborhood provides private and quite place to enjoy the lake and all it has to offer. Cottage is only 30 minutes from Cleveland and almost equally distanced from Geneva on the Lake that provides a very fun touristy day trip for the family. Mentor on the Lake is a small community but provides everything you could ever want from your vacation.
