This house is absolutely gorgeous. We loved every minute in it! It was clean, freshly updated and had the softest, most comfortable beds/bedding ever! I would recommend this house to anyone- in fact we are planning another trip back next year :)
Don’t think twice. If you’re looking for a family or friend retreat this is it. The hosts were very, very accommodating and the lodging was just as advertised, maybe better. We loved our time here and wouldn’t hesitate returning.
Home was beautiful, clean and as described. We had plenty of room and comfortable. We did cook and enjoyed the kitchen and wish for only a few utensils. The outside could use some clean up but we had beautiful weather and found the coast line areas so nice. Overall just the Door County area is a great place to visit!
Wonderful stay, with updated snd clean spaces. We had our family visit for a long relaxing weekend, and found that the property was exactly what we were looking for: kid friendly, in nature, updated and with all the needed amenties. 10/10 would stay again!
Total of 7 adults stayed here during a local relay race - was the perfect space for us. Beds for everyone, beautiful kitchen/great room where we all hung out and made dinner. Great location. Absolutely wonderful.
This property was amazing. The house was spacious and comfortable. The great room was a wonderful place for our group (8 senior citizens) to just hang out. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bathrooms and bedrooms were pleasant and well furnished. We were lucky enough to visit during peak fall color and the trees surrounding the house were absolutely beautiful. They were even better when a group of pileated woodpeckers stopped by for a visit. Our stay was both relaxing and invigorating. Put simply, this is a great place.
The house was amazing and the host left some nice local gifts for us. Loved the kitchen and great spot not too far from downtown Sturgeon Bay to enjoy the nature and the Main Streets
The lodge was awesome, so warm and inviting. It was one of the hardest places to leave as it was so family friendly and so comfortable. One of the nicest VRBO homes we have stayed in.
I rented the cabin for a family vacation with my 3 kids and their significant others. The cabin is beautiful and there were plenty of spaces to relax and spread out.
The Lodge was perfect for our family/friends get together. Very spacious with everything we needed for entertaining. Loved the huge windows and very comfortable furniture to lounge in and take in all the nature the property has to offer. Would love to return in the winter.
This was our second time staying. Cabin is very nice - relatively new renovations, nice furniture, and very clean. Kitchen is well stocked. Kids really enjoyed the ping pong and foosball tables.

Liked the kitchen and Great Room Layout.
Also loved the indoor and outdoor fireplaces.
Excellent location... need a user friendly log book to allow us capture details for others... trails, shops, restaurants, winery locations and ratings.
Need to repair or replace the dishwasher - many noises!
Need a new blender for the kitchen.
Andrew and Brenda were easy to deal with, and their house is spacious, well-appointed, easy to cook in and very comfortable. We wanted somewhere we could all be together in comfort, and this house really fit the bill. We had a wonderful time.
We had a wonderful week together in this rental home! More than enough space for a family of four plus two grandparents… but also still quite cozy. Beautiful, private, quiet nature vibes while still just a quick drive into Sturgeon Bay. The kids especially loved the garage, the bunk room, and the hidden toys in the 2nd floor closet. We would definitely stay again!
We had an amazing time at the lodge. The setup for our family was perfect as we have older kids and younger kids. The main area was so cozy and we enjoyed having a fire. The kitchen was the most well stocked kitchen we have ever experienced in a vrbo - everything you can need. Nice and secluded yet close to town at the same time. Can't wait to stay again!
I recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at a cabin in Door County, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The online listing perfectly matches the actual facility. The home itself is cozy, well-maintained, and offers all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay.
The owners were exceptional; quick to respond to any inquiries and always polite. Their attentiveness made the booking process seamless and the stay even more enjoyable.
I highly recommend this home if you're looking for a quiet getaway in Door County. It's the perfect retreat for relaxation and enjoying the natural beauty of the area.
We hit a bit of a hiccup when checking in as the door code provided to me did not work and it took 2-3 hours to contact the owner and for her to get someone to come look at the door lock and/or the cleaning lady to come give us a key (which then I totally forget to leave and had to mail back so my bad but, could have been avoided if the code had worked!) But once we got in, the house was beautiful and was stocked with everything you could possibly need to stay here! The house is still close to town but feels remote and private!

Thank you for the 5 star rating. We are so sorry you had to deal with the inconvenience of the malfunctioning lock upon your arrival. Although our initial troubleshooting by phone didn’t work, we were able to have one of our local reps onsite within the hour. We have since corrected the problem with the lock and implemented alternative access to ensure this will never happen again. We are so glad to know that you enjoyed your stay at Timber Hill Lodge and your time in Door County despite the initial hiccup!
