The house was in a quiet location at the foothills of a mountain. (Stand on the deck and listen to the wake-up call of a nearby creek. Not to mention, the brilliant stars at night!!) It had everything you needed for a relaxing getaway. Only 3 miles from a quaint, little town where you can be more social, if you want; restaurants, grocery stores, shops and a big park. The host was kind and respectful of those seeking solitude.
The house was well kept and perfect for our little weekend getaway. The host was very responsive and helpful over email. My husband and I are thinking of coming out in the summer for a weekend and staying here again.
Excellent stay in the cottage. Despite it being some of the coldest weather in a decade the place stayed nice and warm. Set in a beautiful location by the creek it made for a nice retreat from the extra cold mountain at Bellayre. 10/10 would come back for another visit. Thanks for everything Paul!!
This was a great place to stay for a quick weekend snowboarding trip to Hunter. The host was great, very friendly and easy to work with. Strong WiFi/internet cable which was great for news and weather updates about the huge winter storm. Good privacy and a nice back porch. Will book this place again for any future trips to the area! Highly recommended!
The cottage was perfect! Charming and welcoming. A home away from home.Paul was extremely helpful and made sure we had what we needed to make our stay wonderful. We can’t wait to go back!
The cottage was great! Warm, quaint and cozy! Kitchen had everything we could need and Paul was great with communication. Even gave us a late checkout! Perfect distance to Hunter mountain too. Would return.
A lovely little cottage, just as described. Was perfect for a weekend trip for a friend’s wedding in the area. Particularly loved seeing the full guest journals with past lodgers writing memories of stays there back to 2005!Good communication from Paul, and easy check-in and out.
We had a great 4 days here! It was comfortable and conveniently located near the ski mountains!

We had a great stay at this cabin. It was clean and well-equipped, and our host was communicative and attentive. Our two pups LOVED sniffing around the property as well.
This is a great little cottage! It’s super clean and has everything you need and plenty of space inside and out. Host was terrific to deal with and made the process seamless and simple. Would definitely stay here again as a great place to stay while enjoying all the area has to offer!!
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this cozy but spacious home. Paul was a great host and checked in on us after we arrived to make sure everything was good. We’d stay here again!

Why they chose this property
Just a half hour from the Thruway, and yet a world away from life's worries.
After vacationing in the area for the previous eight years, I decided to move from Long Island and settle here. I love everything about this rural area, the rush of the stream, the fragrance of Spring flowers, the changing of the leaves, the clean snow, and having four ski mountains to choose from.
