Large and cozy private barn, on five acres of wooded land, with a stream outside your window. Comfortable, with modern accommodation and beautiful artistic details. very private hot tub on the stone patio, infrared gas BBQ grill, WI-FI- high speed internet connection, TV, Roku, AC for the hot summer days.
It's a perfect place for a peaceful, romantic getaway. Great for relaxation, family time and inspiration. Close to many attractions, see 'Things To Do.'
You can stroll around the charming town of Woodstock with it's adorable stores, or go for a superb culinary experience at the Garden Cafe, Cucina, Red Onion to name a few.
The barn is a mile from Wilson state park, where you can stroll with, or without your dog. Kayak or canoe (available to rent for a small fee) cross country skiing and snowshoeing.
And if you wish, just stay in, enjoy the peaceful country surroundings, watch meandering deer (the barn is by a deer trail) read and/or watch T.V. all day long.

Wonderful stay

Cabin was lovely , great backyard with hammock, lovely stream in backyard and hot tub. It was about 15 minutes from town, roads were very well maintained to get to the cabin . Overall great stay

The property was well kept but had a few steps inside you had to be aware of and a staircase as well. I thought there was a stove but the grill was fine. We had a nice time.

Great "Base Camp" Location

We found the Woodstock Barn to be a centrally located "Base Camp" for exploring all regions of the Catskills area. After a day of hiking, waterfall visits, or town visits Woodstock Barn was a clean and comfortable evening rest place. Communications with the property owner were exceptional. We were very pleased with this property.

A nice little get away

A beautiful property tucked away by a stream. Our dog really enjoyed running around and playing in the water. The property is a quick drive to lots of beautiful areas and towns. The hotub was relaxing on a chilly night as the stream ran by.

Relaxing getaway

The cabin was the perfect getaway for a weekend, quiet and peaceful. Everything was clean and beds were comfortable. Temperatures were 90+ so the air conditioning was a plus. Beautiful evenings sitting outside on the patio and relaxing in the hot tub watching the fireflies light display.Perfect place to come back to after long mountain hikes. Thank you Mirav

Perfect cozy cabin hideaway

We had a lovely stay. The property was beautiful and made the perfect place for a wintry getaway. Everything was simple from check-in to check-out. The hot tub was perfect for star gazing and hanging out in the evenings. The location was great for spending time in the adorable, eclectic town of Woodstock as well as visiting nearby hiking trails, and for going downhill skiing. Highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a secluded, cozy, hygge cabin in a lovely venue!

Great Relaxing Getaway For Couples With Dogs

My wife and I needed a weekend away from the everyday hustle and bustle of life. This place fit the bill. We celebrated our anniversary here. Perfect little place, well kept, quiet, nice property. We enjoyed hiking in a nearby park and an afternoon in the town of Woodstock. I also like the fact that it was pet friendly, my 2 black labs also enjoyed the weekend as they love to hike the local parks with us. Great little place for a couples retreat that is pet friendly!!

Cool little barn

The barn itself was nice, plenty of space and located in a great area. However, the advertisement is very misleading. It is not private, the barn is located right next to the homeowners house, like literally 20 feet. The photos don't show it and the description doesn't tell you that, and occasionally she was home at the same time so it wasn't really "private" although she never came out and said anything to us other than a hello. The bathoom shower curtain is in dire need of change, black along the bottom and the shower itself could use a deep clean. Other than that, the house was nice and we enjoyed our stay.

Mountain Barn Bliss

This rustic barn converted to carriage house was everything we hoped for. The property is simply lovely. We found the layout to be delightful with its open space and cozy feeling. Every ounce of this VRBO property was clean and tidy with excellent directions to operate both the hot tub and grill as well as check in and check out. Although several reviews stated that this property did not have an oven, I can assure you that the countertop convection oven works just as good if not better. There were more than enough towels and washcloths for our stay and whenever we had a question, Mirav was very quick to reply. One of our many favorite features and was the location. We felt very secluded, backing up to the wooded mountainside, with a trickling stream in the background, while, just 10 to 15 minutes away from downtown Woodstock with shopping and restaurants and tons of hiking options within that same short drive. If you wanted to get away for some peace and quiet but still wanted to wander out, you couldn't ask for more than this location has to offer. We Left with memories that will last forever and will certainly be going back. Sincerely, Thomas & Angie

A lovely wooded country setting, so quiet and peaceful! We absolutely loved the patio, especially sitting in the hot tub, listening to the birds and crickets singing, watching deer meander past, sipping on a glass of wine. The place is so adorable, comfortable, clean and tidy. Tile work in the kitchen area and bathroom inspiring. Such a sense of privacy yet only a few minutes drive to Woodstock for dining and other delights.

Tranquil Nirvana. This was exactly as pictured and better than we expected! Mirav is a fantastic host, very informative and attentive to our needs. The yard was nature at it's finest. We watched wildlife stroll by while relaxing in the hot tub. The property is located in the middle of the wilderness but minutes from multiple towns and everything we needed. We loved every minute of our stay and hope to return!

Cozy stay in Woodstock

We had a great stay. Check in was easy and the cabin looked just like the pictures. The space was perfect for two people - the set up is a great use of the space. We appreciated the binder that had clear directions from our host about things in the house as well as recommendations for things to do in the area. The day we arrived it was over 90 degrees F. Before we got there, we wondered how well air conditioned the cabin would be, but the wall air unit cooled the space well. One minor thing to note is that while the cabin did feel private, the main house on the property is very close by. As others have mentioned, all the windows of the cabin/barn face toward the wooded area and you do feel very secluded. We never saw or heard anyone coming or going from the main house while we were there. I only bring this up for those who are looking for complete privacy and isolation. Overall, we really loved our stay. The property is beautiful and lovingly maintained. And the location allows you to feel like you are in the woods, yet only a short drive to groceries, places to eat, and some cool hikes.

The owner's directions were easy to follow and we appreciated the thoughtful notes and explanations inside the property. We had hoped for a place that was quiet, peaceful and very private. We weren't disappointed. We found comfortable relaxing seating, both inside and out. On two evenings we saw magical sightings of deer passing by. We used the two, queen beds, both very comfortable, finding one in the living room, the other in the loft. Everything seemed clean and there was no smell. Our visit took place during a freak heat wave. The Barn has a strong a/c that even kept the loft cool, after we learned to adjust the direction of the air flow. The refrigerator, microwave, small oven and electric kettle were all clean and working perfectly. In the kitchen and bathroom the hot water was hot. The property is an easy drive to Woodstock, to the Ashokan Rail Trail and to the areas around Hunter, Tannersville and Haynes Falls. It would be a great base for taking on the more challenging hikes in the hills; but alas, we (in our late 80s now) can only dream of that. With steps and (likely) ticks in the woods, this venue might not suit a family with young children, nor people with impaired mobility. For adults, I'd recommend it highly.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the "Barn by A Stream with Hot Tub". The grounds were beautiful and the private area immediately behind the barn was a joy to experience with regular visits by deer.

A wonderful escape from NYC

The cottage is cozy, well decorated and very private. The hot tub is a great way to end a day of hiking and the stream provides a soothing background to the stillness of the forest.Mirav was available if we needed anything.We’ll definitely come back!

Quick escape from the city.

Lovely converted barn complete with a breathtaking view of the woods and a small creek that runs through the property. Everything was perfect for a romantic getaway from the city.

Perfect Weekend

My spouse and I came up for the weekend for a long overdue honeymoon. The place was perfect. Though it rained a lot we did not let the weather get us down, and the barn was a cozy place to curl up and listen to the rain and the brook. We loved exploring nearby towns and hiking in the moody weather. We would definitely come back, we are already talking about wanting to see the Moonshadow in the snow!

Relaxing Stay

Stayed here for a mother/daughter trip and we had a wonderful time. The cabin is cozy and clean. Still, most the windows face the back of the property so it felt very private. We really enjoyed the hot tub, the relaxing sound of the creek and seeing deer roaming the woods in the back.
