Spacious Mountain Studio, mid-century style, on 4 acres. Wake up to a gorgeous view of the Catskill Mountains, seen through an expanse of sliding glass doors. Eat breakfast on the balcony, or relax on the couch while watching the sun go down. Inside: luxuriously comfortable, eco-friendly queen mattress, full kitchen, 50" smartTV, work area with desk. Outside: picnic table, hammock, cascading brook, land to explore. Good wifi inside/outside (200+ mbps). Woodstock operating permit #23H-279
The space
The Mountain Studio was built in the 1940's in the mid-century style. A recent renovation brings it back to a romantic, airy studio with vintage finds and updated the amenities. Comfort, cleanliness, thoughtful touches, coffee/tea/sugar/etc, and a well equipped kitchen will enhance your stay. The studio is located 140 ft from our main house (circa 1935) on a gorgeous 4 acre estate. The driveway separates the studio and the main house. Plenty of space and privacy for all. There is also a cascading brook with a foot bridge. Come visit a part of Woodstock artist history. Built for a local sculptor/member of the famous Maverick Arts Colony, it has since passed down through 3 artists, to the present hosts. You will probably feel the creative spirit in the beauty of this special place. We hope you'll leave refreshed and inspired in your own way!

LGBTQ friendly & welcoming to everyone. We love kids and animals but please follow read the info and agree to the rules listed in below.

Well trained dogs are allowed, one dog at a time. Please keep your dog off the bed and do not leave them alone in the house, though they may be crated if they are comfortable with that. There is a pet fee of $100 per animal, per stay. Please clean up after your pet inside and outside.

The studio is 600 sq ft, open plan with expansive views through the sliding glass doors. The listing is for 2 guests, an air mattress (with sheets and blankets) is available for a child or for the 2nd guest if requested at booking.

Please note that the studio opens out onto a second story level balcony. Built for safety of course, but not suitable for young climbing children.

Washer/Dryer is available by request for guests staying 5 days or longer.

Peace in Woodstock

The sweetest space for a weekend getaway! Close to all the things we wanted to experience including shopping, dining and live music. We especially liked our down time on the balcony enjoying the view of the beautiful and peaceful property. Can’t wait to book our next visit with Teresa!

A cozy cute little getaway place

We sent our son and his fiance for a romantic little getaway during leaf-peeping season. They and their dog Buddy thoroughly enjoyed the cozy little cottage with the stream running through. Woodstock is such a lovely little town, too. We're coming back!

This was the perfect place for me to stay while I was in town for a week-long singing workshop. The studio is clean, bright and spacious. Plenty of room for yoga, tai chi or bodyweight workouts. Great communication from Teresa. The kitchen had everything I needed to prepare all my meals. I especially appreciated that all the bathroom and kitchen products were unscented and that there were no air fresheners or plug-ins--just clean, fresh Catskill Mountains air. Very conveniently located, too. Will definitely book again.

I’ve stayed in many vacation rentals so I knew right off what’s important and what’s appreciated by a guest. Recently finished renovating the Woodstock Mountain Studio, spring 2021. I love hosting and enjoy meeting new guests and sharing local info. I am also happy to provide a beautiful, peaceful, private space for your visit to Woodstock.

I’m a choreographer and dance teacher, love hiking, swimming outside, ceramics, renovating my old artist’s house and traveling.

Gorgeous mountain views, expanse of sliding glass doors leading to an outdoor balcony . The studio feels a bit like a tree-house in that you look out through the tree canopy. There is a babbling brook, and abundant mountain laurel blooming May-June. Peaceful setting yet a 3 min drive to the charming town of Woodstock, NY.

What makes this property unique

Mountain views, babbling brook with foot bridge, 4 peaceful acres to explore, outdoor area with hammock, seating and table, private balcony, walk to town, near swimming holes. In Woodstock: many good restaurants at various $-$$$, fun shops, bookstores, cafes, bars, ice cream, farmer's market, flea market, small cinema, film and writer's festivals, summer theater playhouse and several music venues. In Woodstock area; great hiking, river/stream swimming holes and lake, kayak rental, paddle board rental, tube rental, bicycle rental, golf, tennis, spas.
