Dear Traveler,

Look no further. This quiet, private and very romantic chalet exudes character, luxury and charm.

Peaceful, cozy and secluded at the end of a quiet, wooded cul-de-sac, the Chalet is the perfect getaway for a much-needed private weekend for two. Yet you're only 7 minutes driving time to the Village Green in the middle of town.

This rustic, warmly appointed, 625 square foot second story chalet features 18’ cathedral ceilings, a magnificent stone fireplace with realistic electric element, wide plank floors, a private balcony overlooking the private pool... and a super comfy four-poster queen size bed to ensure your restful weekend in the country. Also included are high speed Internet, 200-channel satellite TV and a robust iPhone-compatible Bose stereo system.

The Chalet has its own private driveway and entrance. A 40' foot breezeway separates the second story Chalet from the main house, ensuring privacy and quietude.

We're only 3 minutes to the acclaimed Red Onion restaurant, just 5 minutes from Woodstock's popular Cucina ristorante, and 6 min to the elegant Silvia restaurant . Another 60 seconds and you're at the Village Green, where you can enjoy many other dining and entertainment venues. Just up Rock City from the Green is Woodstock's swanky Good Night restaurant. And, of course, shopping! ; )

The 18'x36' heated saline pool features deliciously soft water and is guaranteed to be open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, with September access subject to weather conditions (please note). There's also a poolside Mediterranean-style pergola with a gas grill, refrigerator and bluestone bar so you can enjoy a casually shaded mid-day lunch or dine in rustic luxury under the stars.

For you music fans, we're "right around the corner" from the legendary Levon Helm's Barn, home of the Midnight Ramble and some of the best music in the area. And just several minutes from Colony, a former 1920s hotel and current bar, restaurant and music venue. Check their websites for available performances.

Well-behaved pets less than 50 # are welcome (subject to approval) with $25 fee (per pet/night) and nominal $59 VRBO damage insurance contracted directly with VRBO). PLEASE NOTE: PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE POOL. SORRY, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Kindly note the 2-night minimum. Weekend-only stays from Memorial Day to Labor Day must include both Saturday and Sunday night. Check-in is 3 pm, check-out is 11 am.

My partner and I, puppy in tow, chose this idyllic gem for a quick weekend getaway from the city and could not have been more pleased with our experience! The property is beautiful beyond words, pictures barely do it justice. The town of Woodstock was so charming and lovely. And the hospitality we received from our host was next-level amazing! We're already looking forward to our next stay. Could not recommend more highly!

For a summer stay this is just fantastic. The grounds and pool are show-stopping. Beautifully landscaped, immaculate pool at a perfect temperature, and set in peaceful, wooded serenity. It feels away from it all, but is actually extremely convenient to town. The chalet is spacious & attractive, with a very comfy bed. Richard is a terrific host

Perfect!

Richard is an excellent host and lovely person. The cabin is a private gem with a gorgeous garden and large, beautiful, shaded pool. There’s also a vine-covered outdoor dining area with a grill next to the pool. Great location, very close to downtown Woodstock. So quiet and relaxing!

Extremley charming and comfortable chalet. The pool and its setting are the best we have ever seen. The owner is accessiblw, responsive and easy to deal with. We have stayed in many small cottages in Woodstock over the last several years. None compare to this.

Idyllic getaway

A short 3 miles to Woodstock, this amazing setup was super peaceful and serene. Amazingly landscaped property with beautiful pool with great water toys to lounge on. The chalet had all the comforts of home, with super comfortable bed and beddings. Richard was an excellent host! You can’t go wrong if you find this available.

Weekend Getaway

Wanted a relaxing weekend of dining and hiking. This place hit it on the head. Our host got us checked in and from there we had a private fun filled weekend. The space was a perfect complement to our schedule of hiking, dining out and relaxation. Highly recommend this space.

Great for a weekend getaway

The chalet was perfect for 2 people. It is very cute and the pool/grill area is amazing. The chalet is pretty close to downtown Woodstock as well - about a 10 min drive.

Stay in woodstock with pool

Great place for a party of two. This is my second visit and everything works as listed. The owner is responsive, and at the same time discreet, and respects your privacy. The pool and grill areas are great and my main reason to come back here.

A cozy treasure!

We had an absolutly wonderful stay! The pictures don't do this place justice. The chalet is gorgeous! A perfect wood cabin feel with fine finishes. There are flowers growing everywhere. Our host Richard was wonderful and was super attentive. He even turned the firplace on before we got there for an extra romantic feel! We will definitly stay here again!!

Perfect getaway

We found the place exactly as billed.Charming, quiet, self contained. It has everything you need! The architecture of the unit is really impressive, high ceilings and windows. The bed is comfortable, and the fireplace is beautiful. It’s really relaxing to be there. Richard was really helpful with suggestions, we used a lot of his restaurant recs! Would definitely come again!

Getaway in the catskills

Unfortunately, there was some confusion with the day we were arriving and the outdoor area was not ready for us. When I brought this to Richard’s attention he didn’t apologize about the situation and seemed like he expected us to go in the pool dirty. I had to ask him if there was a net to clean the pool. In the end, he did get the outdoor area ready, but at that point, it was getting late and we didn’t feel like going in the pool. The rest of the trip we had cool weather so we weren’t able to enjoy the pool. I understand things happen but Richard could have been a little apologetic about the situation. Also, the kitchen is not set up of cooking. There was not even salt and pepper. The outdoor grill was good tho. The area is great. You can walk to the red onion restaurant, which was great and the farmers market in Saugerties was fun.

Even better than described. The space is adorable and fully stocked with anything you need. The pool area is so relaxing, quiet and comfortable. Both the living space and pool area are very clean. Richard (the owner) was kind, attentive and easy to communicate with. We will be back.

Relaxing Retreat

Richard has made the perfect place for a peaceful weekend getaway. He couldn’t be more kind and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed and was always available should we need him. The chalet is incredibly decorated, something we aspire to replicate on our own someday. The pool is gorgeous and perfectly clean and well kept- could have stayed in it all day if there wasn’t so much to do in the area. Can’t recommend enough, thank you Richard!

Lovely weekend

The cabin was beautiful - even prettier than the pictures. It is small, and intimate, but airy with lots of windows. Very comfortable bed and all amenities were provided. The host was extremely communicative and accommodating with minor requests. We could not immediately access the internet, and he bought us drinks at the restaurant we chose for dinner for the inconvenience. He went above and beyond to ensure all was well and we were comfortable. Highly recommend for an intimate getaway.

Zen Garden Paradise

We stayed for couple of days in July. We haven't left the property the entire time as there was no reason to. Coming from NYC, it was all we wanted--tranquil and beautiful with a private pool and a grill. It was 100% as described in the listing. The chalet was clean and spacious, but the best part were the surroundings and the spectacular landscaping. Richard, the host, was a gem as well, responsive AND with sense of humor. Couldn't ask for a better getaway. Can't wait to go back!

Great pool for summer

I’d like to say the space is beautiful and pool is amazing! However, upon arrival we realized the chalet is more of a guesthouse and connected to the main home where the owner lives. It was my mistake for not realizing this during booking but the listing doesn’t specifically mention the owner is on-site. Again my mistake for potentially missing that. Regardless, we did end up enjoying our time and the owner is super nice and accommodating. However if you’re truly looking for a private, tenant only property, make note of that. The property is dog friendly which we appreciated! We did love the pool, and there are floats there to use! We also loved the cozy feel of the chalet. I could see it being super cozy in the fall and winter months as well. One other thing, it was quite buggy with mosquitoes- however the owner is actively treating the property so I imagine it will be better since our departure. Overall great time in the Catskills. Hope to be back sometime!

Summer Woodstock Trip

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! I cannot recommend this property enough. Richard was an incredibly gracious host who has thought of everything before you have even arrived. The chalet itself is airy and relaxing with tons of natural light. The queen sized bed was extremely comfortable. The chalet was very clean as well. There is a small kitchen in the chalet that has a microwave, sink, fridge, utensils, a coffee maker, and some other items. There is ample closet space and towels/linens available. As if inside the chalet were not great enough, this property is further enhanced by the outdoor pool, patio, deck, gardens, and fire pit. Richard is a terrific host. Before we even arrived he provided us with a welcome email that included all we needed to know about our stay as well as a ton of recommendations of things to do in the Woodstock area. When we finally did arrive, check-in was seamless and easy. Richard met us in person and gave us great recommendations for restaurants nearby and answered all of our questions about the Woodstock and Catskill region. (He is also overall a very personable and interesting person to have a conversation with!) There is a bbq by the pool. Although we did not get around to using it, it was readily available to us. When we arrived we noticed a fire pit off to the side of the pool and mentioned to Richard that we were thinking of making s'mores. He went and got firestarter for us and provided us with wood to make a successful summer fire pit. The grounds of this property are also carefully curated and manicured to the point that you feel you are in an oasis. A perfect escape from the city. Highly recommend! Thank you, Richard!

Delightful! The Chalet was exactly as described. It was clean, well appointed and the bed was super comfortable.
