Secluded, private house. Off the beaten path. In the town where it all began.
About Dave Leonard
I have lived in the area since 1989 and the house was built in the early 90's. I lived there with my children during their formative years and have since moved to the outskirts of town with my two teenage daughters Eva and Luci and my two dogs Jasper and Juno. I am a hands-on Dad during the week and I DJ weddings locally on most weekends. I also have my own weekly radio show recorded locally and syndicated nationally. I like to bike, play softball and enjoy landscaping and working on the yard in the warmer seasons.
Dave Leonard purchased this Cottage in 1999
Why Dave Leonard chose Woodstock
The house is bright and cool, in a private, shady setting yet soooooo close to town. The house was built in the mid 90s and is in great shape. Stays cool or warm and has many nooks and crannies. The upstairs loft is a gem and one of my favorite parts of the house and is what sets it apart from others. I know the architect and builder personally and I love how well built it is. I raised my kids here until just a few years ago.
What makes this Cottage unique
Location, location, location. No vehicle needed as it's one block to town. Unique design, bright and open, large cathedral ceilings yet cozy and extremely private. I've spent a lot of time gardening and landscaping. New construction in the mid 90s by one of the best builders in town, it is solid and spacious, clean and cozy, shady and private yet close to everything.

Wonderful house, convenient to town, well stocked. Yard was great for the dogs.
Can’t wait to go back.
Lovely property. Dave was very communicative. Perfect location in Woodstock. Definitely recommend staying here.
Month of Bliss
July. Wow. House is steps from everything in town, yet off the main road so you really get a feeling of getting away from it all. The yard is large and quiet--perfect for kicking back with a glass of wine (or a morning cup of coffee). For those who want to be out and about, there are many trails of varying difficulty nearby, as well as things to do in nearby towns. My family enjoyed our time here immensely and those who needed to get back home for meetings, etc., were able to go back and forth easily. Dave is easy to communicate with and cares a lot about your feeling at home and taken care of.
Great house for a small group.
Great house. The bedrooms are on the same level at the kitchen and living room. The loft is open plan so if you have people sleeping there they need to be last to bed. Location could not be better and Dave was really helpful about answering questions. The outdoor space is perfect for dogs.
Excellent location to stay in Woodstock! We loved The Sled House!!
From the minute we pulled into the driveway, we knew we made a good decision renting this house. It’s located on a beautiful street walking distance from all of Woodstock’s main attractions. We didn’t use the car the entire stay. We were able to walk to everything. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, dishes, glasses, etc. The living room had a huge TV and comfortable leather couches. The upstairs was amazing. The bedroom was cozy and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was clean and shower was great. Our host Dave stopped by to say hello. What a nice guy. He gave us a lot of excellent suggestions on what to do in the area. The next time we visit Woodstock we will definitely stay at The Sled House. We highly recommend this property. Thanks!
It was the perfect house for us for a weekend away with our 7 month old. Close to town, the owner gave so many great suggestions on where to eat, nice and comfortable space. We'd go back next in Woodstock.
