This Post-Victorian 5BR/4.5BA home in Fillmore features a wraparound porch, private library, and sleeping space for 10.

The property’s sprawling grounds are perfect for gathering together, with a lush green hybrid Bermuda lawn and expansive back patio. Fire up the BBQ in your own backyard, or go for a swim in the private solar-heated pool.

Set on a secluded lot adjacent to an avocado orchard, farms, and a tree nursery, the home is a short walk from fresh produce at the local seasonal farmstand. Plus, the area’s most popular wedding venues are mere minutes away.

ABOUT THE HOME

A wood-burning fireplace adds warm ambience in the family room area, where a sofa and armchairs seat eight. Settle in for movie nights on the 55” flat-screen TV with Blu-ray player. Just off this area is a full bathroom with tub/shower combination.

The formal living room area features warm wood tones, a wood-burning fireplace, and seating for six. Catch up over cocktails, or play a tune on the baby grand piano.

Whip up family meals in the all-white kitchen, featuring a breakfast table for six and center island seating for two. Gather at the 10-person dining table, or get cooking in the home’s outdoor kitchen with prep sink, gas range, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, and gas grill. The expansive patio offers plenty of space to dine alfresco.

The backyard is also equipped with a half bath and an outdoor shower.

Drift to sleep in five spacious bedrooms, including a master suite with a king bed. Select a book from the library, or catch shows on the 32” flat-screen TV. The en-suite bathroom is configured with a double vanity, soaking tub, and walk-in shower.

The second and third bedrooms each offer two twin beds and share a guest bathroom with a tub/shower combination. The fourth bedroom boasts a king-size bed and a flat-screen TV.

The fifth bedroom features a queen-size bed and handsome wood furnishings.

There is a Jack-and-Jill bathroom with a double vanity and tub/shower combination between the fourth and fifth bedrooms.

EXTRA AMENITIES & MORE DETAILS

Driveway parking is available for four vehicles, with two additional spaces reserved on the street. A washer/dryer and complimentary Wi-Fi are provided.

Please note there is a detached building/Exercise room in the backyard that the homeowner may utilize during your stay. The entrance door to the building is outside of the rented guest area and not visible.

This property is conveniently located next to the highway; road noise may be heard during your stay.

The solar-heated pool is available, but cold during the winter months. A 12’x 14’ cedar gazebo provides shade near the pool.

For safety reasons, the upstairs balcony is unavailable to guests and cannot be accessed.

Access to your professionally cleaned, sanitized home is convenient. All properties have on-site devices for your security – these may include security alarms, and exterior motion sensors or cameras.

Like staying in a castle!
The house was large enough for nine adults to comfortably stay with plenty of privacy and areas for groups activities. Everything in the house is designed for comfort and relaxing. Shelly is so welcoming and was available to answer any questions. The grounds are immaculate and there are even outdoor games provided. We would love to come again when we gather from all over for a reunion! Thank you Shelly for sharing your home with us!

Wonderful Experience for Local Wedding
This was a great place for our group of ten. Nice property next to a tree farm and nearby river. The house is classic with a really great outdoors set up. Loved the pool and played a surprising amount of croquet and footfall toss on the big lawn. For cooking it was well set up looked really good for grilling though we didn't do as much. The best part was the hosts who deserve 5+ stars. As an example they loaned us some welding helmets for the annular eclipse that was happening, dealt with plumbing problem inside a 1/2 hour and we're overall very knowledgeable of the local area which was great. Our wedding was in Moorpark which is 12 miles but over a windy pass. Nothing special by Colorado standards but not a standard trip just FYI. Would lve to stay again someday.

Amazing weekend
This house is so awesome that we didn’t need to go anywhere. It was clean, spacious and has everything you can think of. The pool is great and so is the outdoor kitchen, a/c is a plus in the summer too. The property managers are super kind and want people to enjoy the home and yard. There is so much space inside and out.

Hi! Seven generations of our family have been on this property. It was purchased in 1874 by my Great-Great Grandfather. The latest major remodel to the house was done in 1991. Our family has had many happy times here and we hope you will too.

Our place has a huge lawn area. It is great for playing Croquet and Bocce ball. Adult & child size sets are provided, as well as other games.
27 miles to Six Flags Magic Mountain.
26 miles to the Camarillo Premium Outlets.
23 miles to the Ventura County Beaches, Harbors & Marinas.
Visit the Channel Islands National Park, Sespe Wilderness hiking trails and the Ojai Valley. All are just a short drive away.

What makes this property unique

We have hosted many multigenerational families. It is comfortable for the young and old. This is a peaceful place in the country, if you please. Or, children can run and play and make noise, as there are no close neighbors to complain! We recently installed three sets of stadium lights so you can enjoy being outside longer.
