Lovely Lake House
I stayed at dreamcatcher cottage during parents' weekend at Interlochen Center for the Arts Academy. The cottage is beautifully situated on a quaint country road, it has a charming view of Green Lake and Interlochen is just a stone's throw away (approximately 1 mile). I enjoyed cooking meals for my son and his friends who are students at the Academy in nicely appointed and functional kitchen. In the mud room there are two cruiser bikes which made riding to Bud's (local cafe) and Interlochen fun and easy. The beds are comfortable enough, and it is so quiet there that I was able to log many hours of sleep. My only reservation with the Dream Catcher Cottage, and the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is that the water has a slightly sulfuric oder to it. I have a strong olfactory sense, so that was a bit of a bummer for me, but not a big deal considering all the other perks.
Perfect for our girls weekend
The cottage was perfect for our girls weekend. The view was awesome from the porch. We loved having our morning coffee out there. The neighbors were much closer than we expected but were friendly. The only problem we ran across was that there were only six towels for eight of us. Overall it was a cute, cozy cottage.
We had a wonderful week celebrating our daughter’s and son in law’s wedding. The cottage provided everything we needed.
Great place with character
Clean and cozy home with lots of character. We enjoyed our stay immensely
A hidden gem!
This place was perfect for my family of 5 adults. We were in town for a wedding. It was so close to Traverse and it was on a quiet street with a beautiful view of the lake. It was like we were right on the lake. You are actually right on the lake but there is a neighbor public area with grass along the shore and then a dirt road and then your house. It was awesome, we played cornole on the grassy area by the lake and had an awesome bonfire at night. Would highly recommend and would definitely come again. The only negative I have is some of the lights were very dim like in the master bathroom when I was getting ready, but that's a minor detail, definitely would stay again, we all loved it!
The most stocked rental I’ve ever had. TP, paper towels, napkins, everything we needed. Great stock of pot, pans and cooking utensils.
Bikes are available to ride to the Interlochen Arts Academy just 2 miles away. Listen to 'free' concerts on campus outside Kresege auditorium at Interlochen Center for the Arts or purchase tickets to enjoy incredible evening performances as you watch the sun set on the lake from your seats.
