Live your Best Vacation Life! Lovely 4 BR Property on Cayuga Lake. Dog Friendly

It is unfortunate that you feel our property was not up to your expectations. We are disappointed that you chose not to reach out during your stay and allow us the opportunity to address your concerns while you were at the property. I have attempted to contact you regarding your electrical concerns but have not heard back. For other guests considering our property for their vacation, Here is what I can tell you about the listed concerns. 1. Sewer smell. This is an issue that we have had occasionally during our relatively short ownership of the property. It is a transient problem and we have contacted a septic professional to address this concern this fall. We expect this to be fully resolved before the 2023 rental season begins. 2. Unsafe outside area. This is the first time anyone has ever mentioned this to us. We are aware of one small spot on the ground level decking which was broken by a renter in August. This area will be repaired in October 2022 and should not be a concern for 2023 rentals. The end of the dock does sway slightly as it is not anchored to the bottom of the lake, but rather has feet that sit on the bottom. This is standard dock construction in the Finger Lakes area. Upgrades to the dock are in the works for Spring 2023 3. Electrical issues. This guest is the first to ever report any electrical concerns at the property. I attempted to reach out to better understand the concerns and have not received a response. I then contacted the next guest as well as my cleaning person. Neither have experienced any issues with the circuit breakers. 4. Neighborhood. I have never heard anything but good reviews for our neighbors. We do live on a private road with a 10 mph speed limit. The drive through our "neighborhood" is about 20 minutes to get to our location. The properties are a mix ranging from expensive, well kept single family homes to mobile homes, campers and weekend barbeque spots. As long as you are respectful of the homeowners properties, I would expect nothing but waves and warm smiles. Update May 2023: Upgrades have been made to the septic to address the occasional sewer smell. Dock has been rebuilt with extra supports and PVC decking. Far end of dock has been replaced with a manufactured dock that is much wider than the old dock. Ground level deck board was replaced in Oct 2022. No electrical issues have been reported or witnessed prior to or since this guest's stay.

Thank you for the kind words Nancy. We are very glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope we have the opportunity to host you and your family again in the future.

Edward, Thanks for your thorough review. We are always looking for opportunities to improve the guest experience at our property. As we discussed, the lock instructions are now prominently displayed at the door to the main home to help alleviate any issues when folks first arrive. We have also made some repairs to the stairs to address the "spongy" condition you mentioned. Lastly, we have been hunting for proper replacements for the sofa and loveseat. Unfortunately, lead times on furniture have been so long lately, we were unable to secure replacements before the season started. We hope to replace these items in the near future. Thanks again for your suggestions. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you come back next season to see the improvements we have made. Mike and Melissa
