Golden Dunes ia a Corolla family beach house - 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, private heated pool w/ocean, and lighthouse views

A beautiful & cozy cottage at the end of the Corolla pavement before tires hit the 4x4 beaches. Well-suited for up to two families or as a stress-free couple’s getaway. Pet-friendly.

Location, location, location… you’ll have ocean, lighthouse & gorgeous sunset views from our decks. Beach access is just a quick walk away… about 5 minutes. We have a private pool (heat included in rate, April, May, September, & October) and a hot tub located on the upper deck to enjoy & relax under the stars. Four wheel drive vehicle is NOT required to access the property.

Our community is called The Villages at Ocean Hill and provides oceanfront and sound-side pools, a fitness center, a PICKLEBALL court, playground, basketball, sand volleyball and tennis courts. We are located east of route 12 north, just before the access ramp onto the 4x4 beaches.

Note: Anyone with a 4WD vehicle can drive up the beach. If you’d like to park/tailgate on the beach for
the day, you can purchase weekly passes at the Corolla Visitor Center or online.






For 2025 our private heated pool is open and available from March 27 to November 3. We set temperature at 85° in April, May, September and October. The ambient temperature affects the overall temperature. Pool heat is included for free.

House details:
Ground Level: Carport, enclosed outdoor shower, park grill, private heated pool, 10 x 19 kennel area. Security cameras, located in the carport, are facing the street for safety.

Mid-level: Main entrance, 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, laundry area. There is the ability to create 2 primary king bedrooms and the queen and bunk rooms would then use the hall bath.

Top-level: Living area with TV, ships watch, deck with ocean/sound/lighthouse views, kitchen, dining area, 1 half-bath, screened porch, hot tub on top level deck.
WIFI is provided, and all televisions are equipped for streaming, and there is a Golden Dunes Netflix account.

The kitchen is well-equipped, with new appliances and most everything you might want to prepare fun family meals after the beach.

Linens and bath towels are provided. Please bring your own beach towels.

This house is owner-managed with regular improvements and updates. Recent improvements include painting the whole house inside and out (now blue) and adding new outdoor poly furniture.

Perfect family vacation spot!

Golden Dunes was perfect for our family vacation. The house is in a great location - close to the beach and restaurants/shopping. The home is beautifully decorated and well equipped for visitors with everything you could need and the host Vicki is very responsive. The pool and hot tub were everyone's favorite! We will definitely be back!!

Great Vacation at Golden Dunes!

My girlfriend and I just had a terrific week staying at Golden Dunes! Everything was clean and well supplied so there was not much that we needed. The owner Vicki was kind and responsive and always available to answer questions or make recommendations. We would definitely stay here again!

Great place, dog friendly!

Great property and location. The pool and hot tub were great. Also very dog friendly- has 3 different size crates on the property for your dog- also an outdoor area to secure your dog. Dog Emergency kit and clean up supplies all there. Plenty of bathrooms. Lots of outdoor deck areas- deck to see the sunset was nice! Close to the beach, boardwalk area and the beach to drive on to see horses. I highly recommend.

Everything was perfect! The house was clean and very comfortable. Lots of extra features to make it seem like home! The neighborhood was great for walking my dog and just a short walk to the beach. Our dream to own a home on OBX became a reality in 2020 when we purchased Golden Dunes, formerly Windancer. We used a property management company for the 2021 season, but decided to self manage beginning with the 2022 season, as I have recently retired and have the time and desire to put into self managing. I live near Annapolis, Maryland with my husband, daughter and 3 golden retrievers. I plan to begin breeding my goldens in 2023, another long time dream of mine. You may have guessed, the name Golden Dunes it a bit of a play on words. I look forward to sharing our home with you and hope that you and your dogs find Corolla to be as magical as we do.

Golden Dunes is a cozy home suited well for small families who do not need 5+ bedrooms but you still have all the amenities to have a fabulous time. The hot tub and pool are great to have a relax after a day of siteseeing or hanging on the beach.

Golden Dunes offers morning sunrise and evening sunset views from the home or a short walk away for you to enjoy. The home is set up to be very welcoming to those who want to travel with their dogs, as well. Providing gates, crates and an outdoor kennel help you and your dog enjoy your vacation.
