This modern farmhouse, built on a working family farm, is minutes from watersports and nature trails, a 20 minute drive to nearby Springs and the crystal clear Ichetucknee River, and only 30 minutes from Gainesville and Lake City.

We are closely located to many local wedding venues: (7-20 minutes based on distance)

While at home, pick fresh produce (when in season), hunt the elusive Osceola Wild Turkey (also when in season), stargaze with practically no light pollution, and let the kids run with the dog around the fenced in yard.

There is an RV at the back side of the property that is a private residence and is not part of this rental agreement.

The RV has its own fencing and a separate entrance (gravel driveway and gate) from this property. Please do not park on the gravel driveway.

A note: Our house is truly in the country which means we have different types of critters such as snakes, spiders, bugs, wild pigs, foxes, armadillos, coyotes, rodents, scorpions, ticks, etc. that may or may not live on or nearby property. We have regularly scheduled pest control inside the home however, it is nearly impossible to combat all insects/bugs inside the home. If you do come across a live critter, please just let us know so we can call pest control to come out. Also, be mindful of ANT BEDS on the property especially if your kids or dogs are outside playing/running around.

This property was great. We had a wedding at a venue in the area and this location was perfect for our stay. The house was clean, comfortable, the check in and check out instructions were clear and easy. I’d definitely recommend this place.

This was the perfect place for the girls days away from our lives. We met in the middle and this house was perfect for us. Everything was clean and we had what we needed for a great 4 days.

I just want to let anyone know if you are hot natured thus us not the house for you. You are not allowed to lower the AC below 74. 74 is hot and you should be allowed to be comfortable in a home you are paying for. The owner monitors the AC on her phone and immediately contacted us and asked us to raise the AC temp. The lighting was terrible in the rooms we were trying to get ready in, because non of the plugs worked in either bathroom. Your privacy is limited, there is a camper trailer in the yard occupied by renters. Very disappointed in this rental. There is no driveway, understandable; but the grass needs to be cut.

I'm sorry you are disappointed, but we clearly had it posted that the AC shouldn't be below 73, which you put to 70 when the outside temperature was only 74. The house is very well insulatef and keeps the house cold very well. We cut the lawn weekly, but it had been raining all week due to a hurricane system making it hard to cut. You had the entire house to yourselves and again knew in advance about the RV as it is posted in the listing.

The property is awesome for the quiet location, we loved the fenced in back yard for our fur baby. The property was perfect in every way except the shower head in the hall bathroom, the water stream felt like needles and the water stung.

Country life with small town conveniences

The house is in a peaceful location with easy access to town. The house is well furnished, comfortable, and spacious. Plenty of fenced backyard and open front yard space for children or dogs to run and play. Enjoyed the screen porch for morning coffee or late afternoon relaxing. Less than 10 minutes to stores, gas stations and other conveniences. The neighbors were friendly and helpful! There were farm animals and wildlife all around to enjoy.

Restful Perfection

I wanted a Holiday getaway for me, my best friend and my senior dog Stella to enjoy just catching up and relaxing. This property nailed it. We had everything we could possibly need. The property was clean and the towels and bedding were top notch. The fenced in back yard was a real plus as well. The area is so beautiful and close to everything. Lake City and Gainesville are only a 25 min drive thru some of the prettiest county side you will ever see in NE Florida. We will be back!!

Lake Butler

This property had everything we needed for our stay. There were just 2 of us but the property would nicely accommodate a family with children as the 2 bedrooms we did not use had bunk beds. The property is remote but we were able to visit a number of sites that we really enjoyed with a little drive. The historical museum and butterfly rainforest as well as Devil’s Millhopper State park in Gainesville are a must see. I would skip going to the Jacksonville zoo.

Nice country home

The home was very functional, well stocked, cute country decor and really had everything we needed. We went to the local springs for the day and the location was great! The hosts had a nice grill and we enjoyed grilling out on the back patio. They were right when they stated that the star gazing is amazing!! We arrived after dark and those back roads are very dark so it was a little hard to find but not bad. FYI the driveway is just the grassy yard so it tricked me when trying to pull in. My only complaints was, personal preference, the mattress was a bit firm and the showers water pressure sprayed a bit too hard but overall I we had a great time here and it had everything we needed, I would rent it again if I go back to the area!

Excellent location, private, plenty of yard room for our standard poodle, everything to cook your meals, and great water pressure. Washer and dryer are a plus. Would recommend/ Stay again.

Nice and Quiet

The house was great. We stayed there for a BMX weekend at High Springs BMX. Plenty of room and better than staying in a hotel. My kids loved the beds with legos it made their day.
