Immediately after use, completely turn off.

Entrance Gates:
Guest entrance is side gate with key as I keep big gate bolted from inside to stop my dog wandering off.

Please check that you have shut side gate fully when entering and leaving.

Things down the Toilet:
Only toilet paper and natural waste.
Put waste such as Tampons, cotton wool, ear buds, dental floss, in the black bin outside. No bleach or strong chemicals. Just an occasional small bit of toilet cleaner.

Cooking:
No deep oil frying, or fry ups that create smoke, spots of oil or smell that will go into furnishings. Also a fire hazard.
Try to keep lids on pans while cooking to reduce condensation and smells.

Bedding, mattress. You are responsible for any damage caused. Stained bedding/ damaged bed or mattress will require full cost of replacement.

Breakages or any missing items throughout the home will incur full cost of repair if possible or replacement.

Spare storage room of hosts things next to kitchen. No access whatever to this area please.

Wood stove:
if this hasn’t been lit for a while, it may need some patience...

If you try and rush it, and fuel is too large, you will get blow back and smoke into room. This is simply due to condensation, and is not a fault of the stove.

Start with firefighter, paper, and very small kindling. Fully open slot at front.
Get a good burn going, by very gradually adding small sticks.
Only when these are burning really well, gradually add larger log or 2.
This will dry out chimney, and enable you to slowly fill up stove with logs to make a successful fire.

Laundry:
if you hand me used towels and bedding once a week, I will exchange for clean ones.
In addition, I can launder one load of clothes a week.
There are racks and washing line to dry these.

Dog:
Cara is very sweet and friendly.
Generally loves to meet new people.
As she’s still a puppy, her manners are work in progress and she may touch belongings left in garden.
She will respond to gentle instruction if you want to be left alone.
Also, if you can keep your door closed as she will sneak inside.
Please be very careful coming in and out of gate that she doesn’t go outside on to the road.

Winter Stays:
if you go away overnight during cold icy weather,
turn off the mains tap water, and drain off the kitchen and bathroom taps so that the pipes do not burst.
You are responsible and will be liable for any plumbing damage caused by not draining and turning off water.
It is the red metal tap underneath the mobile home to left of front door.

Finally:
If anything is not working, there is a breakage or any other cause for concern, the sooner you let me know the better so I can put it right as soon as possible.

I want you to be comfortable and have a great stay.
