Right on the beach, Casa del Caracol Feliz "The House of the Happy Snail" offers breathtaking views of the ocean bay framed by mountains on the horizon. This vacation home has never been rented in the past and we are now happy to share it with guests when we are not there! This spectacular villa by the beach is located inside an upscale gates community area that has 8 pools on property, tennis courts, a gym and a delicious restaurant right on the Beach.

Nice resort style property

This is a true resort style vacation property in that there are pools and a restaurant on site. The unit was spacious and mostly well stocked. For some reason the 3rd bedroom wasn’t made up so when we needed extra blankets there were few alternatives. Also the generously sized balcony didn’t have any furniture except a plastic table and chairs also could use shade! The biggest inconvenience was no dishwasher we only cooked breakfasts there and it was still a major chore to tidy kitchen. Otherwise a great stay and friendly hosts.

Dear Holly, Thank you for your review. Based on your comments we added extra blankets for the 3rd bedroom, as well as other bedrooms. The patio furniture has been refinished and we ordered additional patio seating and a barbecue to provide additional amenities on our terrace. As far as the dishwasher goes, we know it’s a setback. It is clearly listed in our amenities that a dishwasher is not available. We are working to redesign the kitchen to install one (we are new owners and it came without the dishwasher). The listing will be updated as such once the remodel is complete.

Peaceful Paradise

There is so much to say about this spacious three-bedroom luxury condo that has been our home for three months. I want start by mentioning our host. She did everything in her power to make our stay as pleasant and carefree as possible. Everything we needed for our three month stay was ready for us. Any minor concerns during our stay were addressed promptly. The condo has a tremendous ‘wow factor’. The entire ocean-side wall is glass with a sweeping view over the pool, the beach and Banderas Bay. The glass can slide back allowing the wide terrace to connect to the living room and dining room. The kitchen and two of the bedrooms also share this spectacular view. The kitchen is very spacious and well equipped with ample counter space and storage. The pantry and laundry room are handy but hidden by solid doors when not in use. All rooms have new heat pumps, quality ceiling fans and very large windows. There are also two floor fans. Each of the spacious bedrooms has its own full bathroom. The beds are all firm and comfortable with nice bedding, sheets and pillows. All of the bedrooms have ample closet and dresser space. The Punta Esmeralda complex is a unique treasure. The gated community is spread out over half a kilometer of sandy beach. (The bird activity on the breakwater is amazing!) It includes eight swimming pools, a well-equipped gym, pickleball and tennis courts, a spa and an excellent restaurant. The homes vary in size and configuration but all have some ocean view and designated parking spaces. The professionally maintained grounds and landscaping are stunning. The location is perfect. It is an easy walk on the beach to Bucerias or La Cruz. There is excellent bus, collectivo-van and taxi service to both towns. All the restaurants, entertainment, shopping and interesting culture is right on your doorstep but you have a safe, peaceful and beautiful place to return to. This unit is among the best in the complex. There is an infinity pool steps from your door. The beach is just steps beyond that. The unit is one floor above pool level so you have privacy but you can keep an eye on the kids at the pool. Large umbrellas are provided at all of the pools and at the beach. A stairway or an elevator takes you down to the pool or up to the roadway. We can’t wait to return!
