Home is roomy and well appointed. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Home was clean, had lots of nice, fluffy towels. It is just a few minutes from Whiskey Row. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you!

It was a pleasure having you stay and we hope to have you return again
Loved the outdoor property and the deck had so many seating options. This place is nice and the beds were pretty comfy so that was a plus. We played pool and the family sorta split up at night between the TV upstairs or the den downstairs to watch our own thing.

You guys are great and hope you’ll stay again in the future
This was our second time we have stayed at Stags Leap Lodge and as before it was the perfect place to spend time with our family. We will definitely stay there again in the future.
Jeffrey was friendly, courteous and beyond accommodating! We spent Christmas at this lovely home, and the decorations helped make it all feel warm, welcoming and festive. (The gingerbread cookies were a yummy touch!) The space was nicely laid out and perfect for the 5 of us. The pool table was such a great bonus - keeping us well entertained during inclement weather. Close enough to town to make evenings out easy, but far out enough to enjoy the scenic views of the brilliant skies and wildlife (a stag and his harem, a herd of javelinas, and more), and long walks with our pups. Highly recommend and will enjoy visiting again! Thanks Jeffrey!

About the host
Hosted by JEFFREY OSTER
We are from the Phoenix Valley and split our time between the valley and Prescott. My wife and I love the outdoors, good food, and discovering new places, which is a big part of why we enjoy hosting. We’ve stayed in plenty of vacation rentals ourselves, so we know how much the little details matter.
We take pride in keeping Stag’s Leap Lodge comfortable, clean, and welcoming. Whether you’re here to explore Prescott, unwind in the pines, or just enjoy a quiet getaway, we’re happy to share this spot with you and hope you feel right at home.
If you ever need recommendations for dining, hiking, or local favorites, we’re glad to help. Enjoy your stay!
Why they chose this property
The neighborhood feels like its own little world tucked into the tall pines. Mornings are quiet except for the sound of the wind moving through the trees and the occasional deer wandering by. At night, the sky actually gets dark enough to see the stars, something you forget is possible until you’re here.
What I enjoy most is the balance. You get real peace and privacy, but you’re still close enough to Prescott to grab dinner, wander the Courthouse Square, or catch live music without it feeling like a chore. It’s the kind of place where you can hike in the morning, explore town in the afternoon, and sit on the deck in the evening listening to the creek and watching the sky change colors. It’s relaxing without being remote, and that’s what makes it special.
What makes this property unique
This isn’t a generic short-term rental. It’s a real home in one of the best pockets of Prescott. It is quiet, clean, and minutes from everything people actually want to do when they’re up north. The house has that “exhale” feeling the moment you walk in. It’s comfortable without being cluttered, updated without feeling sterile, and set up so guests can settle in right away.
The layout works for almost anyone: open living spaces, good natural light, and rooms that feel larger than they look in photos. The backyard is a bonus. It’s private, peaceful, and gives people that cool-weather mountain vibe they’re trying to escape to. It’s the kind of place clients notice right away and say, “I could stay here a week.”
Most importantly, it’s cared for. Everything is stocked, maintained, and thought through in advance. People don’t have to hunt for basics, wonder how things work, or deal with the typical rental surprises. It just feels easy and that’s exactly what makes it stand out.
