Great location! Very near Queen street with shops and restaurants, and a few wineries and other eateries, so you can avoid your car.Pet friendly! Great fenced garden area and lanai for the pups. Plus plenty of local parks.Well-stocked! The host thought of everything. And we were provided with fresh towels more than we needed. The interior is compact, but the expansize lanai and backyard more than made up for that. Host was very communicative and fixed a small plumbing problem very quickly. We will definitely stay again next time we're in the area
Communication with the host was very good. She greeted us on arrival and showed us the cottage and gardens. It was very private.A pleasant walk into the town.Overall, pleasant stay!Ev
We spent a long weekend to attend the Shaw Festival and do some exploring on bike. The location of the accommodations was excellent and the apartment was clean and had everything we needed. The host was prompt with communication. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We were quite surprised with the cottage, it was not what we expected, when we booked it it never stated that it was the back of a house and the owner was at the front of the house.should advertise those details. It was a small place enough for two adult , it was clean the beds were really hard. No outlets in bathroom to use.Parking is very small area. We made due with what we had, we ended up leaving early.

very surprised by these comments,,I have it clearly stated that the rear cottage is annexed to my cottage..compare what we offer to a basic room at our local Best Western for $400 per night..the cottage has a huge sunroom which allowed this guest to smoke..a very large private patio and garden ..read any of my reviews and I think you,ll realize this is rubbish..obviously this weekend didnt go as planned they booked for 3 guests only 2 arrived..not really my fault..
Alnwick cottage was completely furnished with everything we might need. It was clean and comfortable. PAULINE, was an added bonus, offering tips and advice. The cottage was perfectly located, an easy walk to downtown and Lake Ontario. The gardens surrounding the property were quite inviting, calling us outside to relax and enjoy.Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Thank you girls I,m glad you enjoyed my little cottage..A great plus for me when you leave it so neat and tidy..regards Pauline
Pauline met us on arrival and showed us around. Her cottage was cozy and very clean. Extremely well appointed with most everything you could want to be comfortable.
Lovely cottage attached to the host's home, with an enormous and beautiful back garden. Very close to the main area of Niagara on the Lake and the Shaw festival.

This was a very nice place. I was specifically looking for a cottage setting, close to the everything, but a place that we could also prepare meals. The gardens are very nice and it was a delight to sit outside with a glass of local wine.
Everything was awesome... really cozy and clean. Comfy beds and so peaceful. The backyard garden is incredible and Pauline is a lovely host will definitely go here again
Friendly host, lovely gardens, quaint and clean but small space. About a 20-25 minute walk to the Main Street with the shops, a bit further than I was hoping for! That aside, this place is affordable, and perfect for a 2 night stay. Rented bikes for the day and it was so much fun, and so beautiful.

About the host
Hosted by Pauline Sullivan
We are the Sullivans, Pauline and Clair. We live on the property, which we find very convenient, problems, help with restaurant recommendations, even pet sitting have all been our pleasure to perform.
Why they chose this property
We originally purchased 659 King Street, for its close proximity to Live theatre and a wonderful golf course. It was originally used by the family as 2 cottages, 1 for guests. After retiring we decided to live in the front cottage and rent the rear cottage as a vacation spot.
